Events modding help?

I'm starting to try my hand at modding CKII. With most of the information readily available in .txt files and through some of the great tutorials and explanations here I'm slowly starting to learn. However every now and then I hit a wall. Especially events make me scratch my head. Every event has a description. However the description seems to be in another file as the command line indicates.

desc = "EVTDESC38000"

Where that is however I can't find. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

You're not the only one...


So all the events named (like the one you pointed out) are at the localisation folder, and should be in one of the four or five .csv files there.
Just remember - if you're going to tinker with these files, better do it with Notepad (or Notepad ++, which is even better) instead of opening with the standard Excell software (just cause there's a chance for things to get borked once you save it there)

Can I just create another csv, or must it be inside existing ones?

You can create another csv, yes. That's a great thing, by the way, so you don't have to mess with those gigantic files...
