Come on, aren't you excited to play ww2 as the kiwi empire?

I will say that I like one thing about IV. The way that they have organized "decisions" into a logical flowchart. I also like how you can use said chart to influence your countries path for sandbox play. Aside from that, it is way too dumbed down imo. DH and HOI3 are both better games imo.

In fact HoI3 have tons of features I'd like to see in DH, like the army organization levels. It's much more advanced in many aspects, while at the same time I always felt there was something wrong in HoI3 and never really liked it... but at least is still hundreds of times better than HoI4.

The army organization system is the best thing about HOI3 imo. I prefer HOI2 research style, but I do like how you are not restricted to 1 doctrinal path. You can research infantry doctrines for your infantry and mobility doctrines for your mobile units without restriction. I am one of those who use HQs as combat units, so keeping my HQs in range is much less of an issue. The noncombatant status of HQs, especially at the corps level was a real hassle otherwise. Jmo, ymmv

The thing that bothered me most about III was the terrible map. If someone ever makes a good and correct map for III I would definitely give it another chance.

I do this every once in a while to remember why I will never buy that game - and to laugh at some of the problems that are reported.
Unfortunately, I was needed to buy this game and even one DLC ('marine' DLC) just to monitor the progress the lack of progress in the field of Historicity/Realism in Hoi4.
Before the War, I even collaborated with one of Hoi4 communities which involved in digging/modding Realism/Historicity in Hoi4, exchanging rare WW2 information and pointing out the most egregious mistakes to them. At least now the USSR contains a little less errors in Hoi4 Mods than it was before my kicks to them.

Ofcause, given my personality, I also can't resist to mock on them on occasion. :D
But, do you can believe it (!), they sometimes respond appropriately to my mocking !

Last year I many times mocked them with the fact that in their fantasy game, '3 women, joining forces, can give birth to one child in 3 months', just as several shipyards, joining forces, can build a destroyer in three months!

And what do you think? Less than a year after my mocking, BlackICE posted an update at january 2025, where... this absurdity is fixed! :D
Now all warships in BICE built in more or less adequately time! No more a Destroyer build in 3 months!

A coincidence? Don't think so! :D
No one had cared this in Hoi4 for 8 (!) years before, but looks like my mocks last year finally forced them to fix this epic absourd! :D

Although I'm a little sad now, they took away my favorite mockery on Hoi4 !!

Tannu Tuva. It should be just Tuva in ww2 scenarios, but that's a real state
You never cease to amaze with your knowledge of such rare nuances!

Hey, be a man, tell who wrote the report on me?
