What a fun session. First I want to say I am sorry about the dog thing, I had to go chase after the little guy and I should have said something. Spain took a beating this session but the stats tell a different story.

With the +10 inflation from the event I was in no condition to fight. Joining the war I couldn't fight the English Navy and was getting routed on land by a teched up OE. Ending up with 18 inflation and 5 loans (damn Deserting event) I was not looking good. But with the addition of Portugal my MI sky rocketed. England's domination of world trade is coming to an end. With money to burn and plenty of merchants expect Spain to dominate world trade as she sets her sights on India.

France didn't do bad either, but as it is i'm considering letting France be ghosted next session, because, frankly, now it's just a ghosted country with a big mouth... :eek:o
Not at all. The army is decent enough. What France needs is to make that big mouth a mouth of sweet words. FFS, make a diplomatical move towards some nation. You should have done that ages ago. Wage war together with an ally (or two). There will always be such. But, as Peter mentioned in the other thread, giving up is not an option. You do this for fun, and there is still a lot of fun left in France.

Surviving the War of religion without beeing made a German/Spanish vassal was an important step don't you agree ? :)
Not including the 1000 - 2000 gold send by the Emperor to help France getting on it's feets German aid during this short timspan proved to be more substantial than English or Ottoman support during the last few centurys but I am sure that I don't need to tell that to the King of France.

Well, as long as the King of France is satisfied, there is no problem. it's just that he recently filed his application for retirement....

France is far from dead. Wari still has some of the best leaders in the game to look forward too not to mention wealthy provinces he can take from all of his neighbors. Being a puppet won't do Wari, make some moves on your own. Don't quit already there is still two hundred years to play. Hell get MA through Germany and go beat up on Russia if it makes you feel better.

 R3lic, you're a freakin' telepath, i swear!

I want to be friends with Germany, it's my best bet, and i don't consider France dead, nor do i wish to quit, (don't wanna miss the event where you become my vassal, R3lic :D ) but it always seems wiser doing nothing, than it is going on some hopeless war against armies 10x bigger...

And ofcourse i still have the occasional get-rich-quick scheme (muahahaha  ) it's just: i don't wanna die trying...

Russia did ok. By the end of the session I was starting to panick, with all the revolts from events, etc. But looking back it was quite good. Sibir was annexed, Crimean lands in the East were taken, Lithuanian lands were taken, colonies developed, etc.

Russia is beginning to catch up, at least that's what I feel. Now to find a sub for thursday... Stupid awards and theory exams.
