One thing that might be minor bug, and that is not listed at bug report. (maybe is listed on this hudge list, but I did not find it
)
1. When I am a papal controller, and pope dies - new pope is elected and I am elected as new papal controller again - Options "excommunicate" and "revoke excommunication" disappears. I have to restart the game to have that option again.
Another thing is a game balance. I found a few things that IMHO work not well.
1. Sometime I have the situation that my vassal stands against me (lack of loyalty due to my various actions) I pacify him of course, and then I have a problem. There is no peace option: "get back to status quo" (before uprising). I can only take his grounds (my reputation falls dramatically - another vassal upraises, again pacifying...), take tribute (but he will become independent in that case, with my claim) and recognize him as an independent.
2. I usually play Poland, and I find it very easy to conquer almost full Europe. There is one simple trick to do it. First I attack pagan countries, to gain territory and most important: prestige. When I have enough prestige (few thousand) I grab a King title, for example Bohemia, Hungary or Germany. The bigger number of vassals and the smaller homeland territory victim has, the better. Next I move strong army to homeland(s) of “victim King” and declare a war. Thanks to this maneuver, I do not need to loose my troops for battle with his vassals to reach him. After successful siege – I demand only king title. In case of fall of all his home provinces – always accepted. His vassals become my vassals, I am a new king.
The funny thing is, that it cost only a little reputation and few hundreds soldiers. I can do it again and again. When I loose reputation too much I give my son few provinces and give him as many duke titles as I need to rebuild my reputation. Then the conquer starts again…
