I've got 630 hours in this game and managed to make a city of 718,130 pop with an i5 12600K 3060 12GB.

If the game ran right it should have taken 1/3 the time.

I really don't care about bugs or lack of content as I know that will be sorted in time.

My real worry is the speed. With 16,679 hours in CS1 I was one of the throng who wanted a limitless game.

Please make it a priority to get this thing to a bigger city than CS1 can build, that is the only promise I want to be fulfilled.

Its not the bugs or lack of content that is holding it back.

About the Expansion Pass

Expansion Pass including the San Francisco Set,
Beach Properties Asset Pack, two Creator Packs, the Bridges & Ports Expansion as well as 3 Radio Stations paired with each release.
It is included in the Ultimate Edition at a discounted price. The Expansion Pass will also be sold separately once the first content is released in Q1.

So where is the San Francisco pack? Still no upgrade available...

Ermmm, guys... The base game is so empty that we have to come up with stuff just to entertain ourselves while it cost an arm and a leg... And you are already trying to shove DLCs down on our throats? You deliberately sold an empty, failed product and already want to milk us more based on sunken cost phallacy? This is disgustang and predatory...

Postponing expansion pack content is fine to me as much as I really want the ports DLC, but what about the free region packs and most importantly MOD SUPPORT. I really want to at least make my own map.

I'm guessing peoples' expectations for CS2 is they basically wanted an improved CS1 with all the mod support already baked in, which is just about impossible to do out of the box.

How exactly would it be "impossible" to include some extremely basic traffic management options from TMPE like making a two-way stop intersection? Or a simple prop line tool? Or a move-it tool? Or an undo button?

I think most people's expectation was that at least some of the basic functionality of the most popular mods available for CS1, that have worked very well for years now and objectively improve gameplay, would be incorporated into vanilla CS2.

Aside from the bug fixes and performance optimizations, I was really hoping they were planning to release a Transit DLC. Pretty lame of them to allow us to build rail and subway tracks running over streets but not provide any elevated stations. Heck, even some overhead pedestrian crossings without having to make ridiculously long or winding ramps would be nice. Beach properties were NOT on the top of my must-have list.

Maybe in two years or something (that's how long it took for "Mass transit on C:S1 to arrive after game release, for vanilla elevated subway it took even longer (2020, so around 5 years)).

Free regional packs will exist at launch of PDX mods. These may or may not include elevated stations - especially the East Coast US pack, the West Coast US pack and maybe the Japan pack. Who knows.

Regarding seasons. Just choose a different map that's not in a snowy area or gets less snow. However, a future option to choose your latitude before starting the map would be nice if you like the map but not the tempatures it gets.
i know about latitude and temperature from starting map but i don't want another map terrain and i don't want to remove snow forever, only while zoning (my eyes blinded because white on white)... i need to wait snow disappear 4 months in game (winter season) to continue zoning ... how about i want a "mountain village" map without snow (they can't).... i mean they put limited map from versatility (even another game can generate seed map why devs not learn about that)... i just want to get rid snow while zoning rather do complex thing in devmode to remove snow and bring back snow again...

So after the Bugs, and now the late release of promised content. Not even talking about mods. Can we get a refund? Because i didn't pay for a early beta Game with no Content till late next Year

“It is included in the Ultimate Edition at a discounted price.” I thought if you bought the ultimate pack prior to game release got them DLC’s for free, that was my understanding

This makes me think it probably isn't just a discount.

So I guess cims going off-world to go shopping is ok.. As much as 10% of my entire population leaves the world everyday and then comes home again late in the night...
Or what about cims that go shopping in industrial buildings and all the while most of my shops don't have enough customers.. and don't get me started on the industrial signature buildings, do any of them work ?

did you read the article?
Maybe YOU didn't read the article. No where does it say upgrade to Ultimate Edition. It only mentioned buying the expansion. Those things are not the same since the expansion is discounted in the Ultimate Edition. Also the ultimate edition gets things now that standard edition does not and I don't see much of a reason why standard edition players should be locked out of existing content should they wish to pay for it.

I'll be blunt: this roadmap isn't realistic. The game is so buggy that you will not be able to afford to divert dev time to expansion packs during Q1 2024. You need a LOT of work on the base game. You will end up needing to postpone the expansion packs further.

Im fine with this if there is some sort of compensation. for example Ultimate customers get maybe a further dlc to say sorry later down the line or something similar. Id be very upset if we got nothing, or worse got a single prop or building.

The postponement of content for Ultimate Edition customers is legitimate. However, I would like to point out that I take a very critical view of the approach.
You have stuck to releasing the game in a poor state. It would be implausible to claim that you didn't know about all the bugs and errors in the game on the release date.

So to deliberately advertise the product with content that is highly unlikely to be delivered as planned is outrageous.

For this reason and the many bugs, an immature simulation, poor performance, too little content, the postponement of the editor and modding, I feel betrayed by you as a customer.

For me, you have lost credibility as a developer and the good reputation you have built up over the years. There is just more and more coming together and I just don't enjoy the game anymore. And that's a real shame. I was looking forward to this game so much. For me, it's the next big disappointment in the gaming industry.
+1 I couldn’t agree more. It’s a shame what CO turned into. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed. Don’t want anything else to do with this company and I hope they will soon offer refunds.
