Ok, This is my first AAR ever... so please be kind, I will be playing the European Soviets in an Abyss scenario and my ultimate goal is to bring the glory of socialism to all of the planet. Im playing Normal/Normal and no allies...
The history of the European Union and its predecsor the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom
"The United Kingdom was a colonial power in the 18th century, in both America, India, Oceania and Africa, however in 1776 a revolt in the Americas started. This war led to the independance of the United States of North America and the loss of the thirteen colonies in America.
However in the 1820's the UK was beginning to expand again, in Europe. A personal union with Denmark, increased the security of Hannover, and led to the passing of the salic law, and disinherited Prince Edward's daughter Victoria. And instead Ernest August became king, Ernest was highly conservative and unpopular among the british public, this unpopulaity was strengthen even further when Ernest led troops in person to destroy the Chartists, workers who demanded reforms, this violence in the mother country caused its Occeanian and African colonies to declare independance. Fortune still favoured the United Kingdom, with the Dutch monarchy also coming into personal union with England and with revolution in Austria in 1848 seized Austrian belgium. This didnt stop the unrest however, it increased! Only 1 year later its indian armies mutined and created a new Mughal Empire. With much unrest and low on international prestige the UK entered into a period of isolation to try and stop the unrest, this worked for a while until the rise of socialism in the early 20th century and the apperance of Harry Pollitt united socialism and nationalism and overthrew the reactionaries, and formed The European Union of Soviets"
The Union's history
The European Union had a difficult time in the beginning, for it was the only nation to be completly socialist, and the Prussians were angry for not reciving Hannover when it formed a united Germany, and a large amount of factories wich required lots of maintenance due to the reactinaries who didnt keep up maintenance of the factories. Many laughed of the European Union, calling it "weak and unstable" others said "This revolutinary government will collapse by the first six months!" , But the European Union would soon find new friends, in the African Republic and The Empire of Roma, African Republic had always had trouble with a group called the ANC and now the ANC overthrew the republic and formed The African People's Republic, in Roma a croat , Joseph Broz Tito, led the communists in the Roman Civil war, and was victorius, and The Roman Socialist Republic formed. Together these friends and the European Soviets formed the Communist International(Comintern), a economic exchange between socialist countries, many politicians pushed for the Comintern to be turned into a military alliance, but this never happened. With the Comintern the European Soviets were able to solve most of their problems, and by 1936 is ready to export its revolution!
