On several occasions, ver 1.06 will allow you to make attacks beyond your indicated range. It appears to be most pronounced when you have fighters with longer range than your dive bombers. It appears that the longest range aircraft in the group is chosen for range instead of the shortest range aircraft. However, ver 1.06, ver 1.05, ver 1.04 would all allow attacks beyond the indicated range.
