I'm actually working on Technology Tree mod. My goal is to extend the gameplay up to 2020s with some near future stuff. The mod is actually in its first stage, only outline of the tech tree was created. As for now you can download the mod and run the game to find how the Tech Tree will look like.
As I mentioned earlier the mod is divided into some development stages:

- Stage I: creating outline of tech tree
- Stage II: adding new resources & production methods + testing
- Stage III: adding new tags
- Stage IV: adding new IGs & diplomacy options
- Stage V: polishing & testing
