I am pretty impressed with the AI improvements in HSR 1.04b and so I am really curious if I ll be able to win this game. In my current game as Germany (see link in my signature) the AI is playing very aggressive and invades a lot. I wonder if and how well I manage to keep naval superiority and if the SU manages to withstand the onslaught that will be for sure scaring.

I usually dont rate playing the USA tough, but this might really be a challenge :)
And no, HSR is not only the German campaign, in fact some serious events will fire that improve german numbers massively and I winder what other surprises from the HSR team await me ;)

I will mainly continue the German AAR at the beginning, though so expect most updates there, just want to also play "the other side" and am curious if I manage to win both games...

Intention is to play historically till war breaks out. Hopefully even further till the USA is involved in war, keeping FDR etc.

Game settings: Very Hard / Agressive
Patch version: 1.06c
HSR Version: 1.04b

Its Januar 1936...

and the world is slowly recovering from the economical depression.
In many parts of the world fascist gouvernments and dictators were taking control, but the situation in the USA remained relatively calm. The USA focused on its economical problems and launched a huge economical improvement program, favouring less industrialized areas.

Army Navy and Airforce 1936
The US Navy ruled the seas. Therefore US Airforce and US Army were quite small. Since the US gouvernment spent most of its fund to improve the economy the armament companies obtained several huge orders, but rather improving weapons technology and bringing them up to date instead of funding and equipping a huge army and airforce.

Even though thats strongly not my personal opinion I went the historical way...
Business is business!
:p

Presidential Election 1936

Once more the historical way...
FDR wins!

Situation 1937
The economical improvement program was a success and was continued.

Involvement in China 1937
The US gouvernment decided to take actions against the Japan aggression even though this decision would lead to tensions with Japan and the spent funds would hinder improvement of the domestic economy.

1939 - OUTBREAK OF WAR
The US gouvernment decided to help the UK against the Axis even though the spent funds would severely hinder improvement of the domestic economy.

But elsewise the economical improvement program was a huge success and the BSP was raised over 20% in the last 3 years due to technical breakthroughs and massive economic incentives in provinces lacking in industrial capacity.

The Royal and the US Navy still ruled the seas, but Germany started an impressive fleet buildup. The Luftwaffe dominated the skies and the Wehrmacht controlled more tanks then any nation worldwide.

I still cant imagine that I might loose playing the USA as long as I control the sea. But the german achievements are impressive. Now its time for the german AI to unleash hell in Europe - will I be able to save the day?
