There is not any posibility to destroy factory. It is very annoying especially in germany, italy and other united (later splited) countrys. AI build's too many factories because of victory points (many of them are not working even managed by AI)

Write down the name of the state and delete the factories in the save game.
It is annoying though.

You can close factories by clinking on one of the factory icons on the factory list.

Sometimes it would be nice to destroy factory, not just close it. If you would like to get your craftsmen and clerks to move from a state where you just closed a factory, they will not. They just stay there waiting you to open it again.

At the beginning you usually have some unprofitable factories, and it can be hard to buy machine parts to build new factories. I would like to dismantle an unprofitable factory and get at least half of machine parts back to build new ones. But that might make game too easy

Yeah, that would be helpful and make the game easier

it could be that you need 1.2 ammo but your only using .6 because one of your factories that is using ammunition but can't get enough of another resource such as fertilizer(for explosive factories)

Actually, it is the same thing on both items. Plenty is being produced but the factory just is getting what it needs.

You might want to check out your trade screen. You could be selling ammo on the world market. If you are, then that would be the reason why you are only getting half of what you need ammo wise.
