This is a very, very minor thing in the face of really impressive and fun effort, but is there any way to pick the Atheist faith choice and not be locked into evil/mostly not being able to interact with characters who have good aligned faiths, as it were? There are various people who spurned devotion to the gods who were still goodly aligned and all as far as the effort they put into the world, without being regarded as "infidels" on a day to day level.
There's a good athiest faith in the Great Glacier with a good number of states in it

It sounds like you're not after a faith though, but the cynical trait? Someone who is in the estelar/good pantheon world and social norms but doesn't believe in the gods.

I mean there were also at one point various good aligned Netherese, for example, who regardless went "nuts to you, the gods!" while otherwise being as heroic as you might expect, that kind of thing.

Or, sort of like how you could be a good aligned Athar in Planescape, if less extreme.

We are aware of this issue, and to be clear, we don't regard it as that minor. The Faithless religion was originally added to represent historical characters like Joadath of Shadowdale and Qysar Shoon II, both of whom were responsible for anti-clerical massacres. But that's obviously an extremely narrow view of atheism, even in Faerun, where the practical existence of the gods is an observable fact. We are including the Faithless in our current religion rework, and their options will be considerably broader once we're done. Watch this space!

Qukoku is currently the most conventionally good religion in the atheist group, yes.

We definitely looked at the Athar, and the diversity of views among them, when planning this part of the rework.

Just going through the character files, I noticed all the BG characters have friendship/rivals set up, to come into effect 1368.2.1, when the bookmark is 1368.1.1
Is this intentional to avoid some problems that brought up or a typo?

Xzar loves his Montaron, yet inmod they don't know it yet.

Also, great to see just how many characters cameo, there are many I've never thought to look for in game.
The latest release fixes this, and also adds a few more characters from Siege of Dragonspear, one of whom is playable.

I love what yall did to the Yuan-Ti! I'm a little eh about the lizardman hedgehog sarrukh, but they grew on me!
Is there anything in the future regarding Sseth or somesuch around the Scaled cult?
The Scaled cult is on our (long) list for religion updates; nothing is imminent, but we are going to come to it.

There's also an outstanding issue about Sseth's avatars which we intend to look into, which might get fixed sooner.

AWESOME, thank you!

The half-elf portraits are beautiful as well

Oh! That's all really amazing to hear, I'll keep an eye out.

The latest experimental release 69h16 is out today.

Like last week's release, this one features both new traits and physical map changes, and so it will break saves.

Changes include:
  • Religion overhaul continues (all of these will appear in character histories later):
    • Seelie and Unseelie Court traits for the Sylvan religion
    • Patrons for the faith of the Nine Travellers
    • Paths for the Padhran faith
    • Black and White Chung Tao
    • Patrons for the Nogari faith
    • Patrons for the Jaziri faith
  • Underdark update:
    • New de jure empire of the Northdark, separating subterranean locations (and a few surface locales primarily notable for their Underdark connections) into a discontinuous empire underlying most of the northwestern mainland.
    • New subterranean provinces, bringing some of the most renowned cities of the drow, duergar, and illithids into play
  • Amn overhaul:
    • History changes to reconcile Muranndin's conquests in the early 1370s with its canonical extent in the 1480s
    • More playable characters
  • Zakhara rework continues:
    • Two new provinces in the Furrowed Mountains
    • Astok culture, traditionally associated with the region
    • New local patron god, Botu'Astok
  • Genetics improvements:
    • Better planetouched detail
    • Hereditary sorcery tweaks
  • Raiding updates:
    • More cultures can earn the pirate trait, and fire giants and frost giants can become vikings
    • Good-aligned faiths will go adventuring instead of raiding
    • New raiding event, and tweaks to the existing ones
  • Fixes:
    • Myrmeen Lhal becomes Cormyrian
    • Immortals are safer from disease
    • Reformation doctrine to tolerate arcane magic now works
    • New side-effect for selling your soul
    • Duels give XP correctly
    • Arcane Brotherhood experiment tweaks
    • If you recruit a giant runecaster, they will have a decent life expectancy
    • The army of the Daemonfey spawns correctly
    • Sundry other corrections
Enjoy!

Some classes can summon a planar creature, such as a genie, marid, devil, demon, or angel types. Whenever you take the decision, you usually have to bind them to your will out of 2-3 ways the event offers (money, blunt force, etc) ... which represent selling your soul.

In this event, you should see it in the tooltips ... this interaction will give your character the planetouched trait.

This may be a silly question, but is it necessary to download each experimental in order or can I just download the latest?

I ask as previously, i had skipped an exp or two and on install of the most recent one at the time, i got an error message during extraction about a map.dds file or something along those lines. I did post and ask about it at the time and was informed that the experimental in question did not even edit the file in question

You can always just download the latest version, and delete off the old one. Even the hotfixes are complete releases.

Should secret vampires, dragons etc be able to have normal children?
Dragons are supposed to have dragon or half-dragon children. Vampires can have children under specific circumstances, and they inherit the dhampyr trait (which is supposed to be hidden though).
