"failed to open file" error

Hi.

I went to download the "gift" from gamers gate.
I first downloaded crusader kings from GG. It downloaded fine; but when it came to install it I got a "Failed to open file: the system cannot find the file specified"

No problem, I thought. I have the original game on CD, just not DV. So I installed CK from the disc and installed it fine.

So then Iwent back to GG and downloaded DV, but again after it unpacks it, I get the simlar message.

EDIT: Note when I say it downloaded fine, I'm not quite correct. I get the icon from GG, then when I click on that on my computer it goes up to 99 per cent and then I get the "failed to open file: the system cannot find the fild specified error."

Where did you install the game ?

When I tried to download it from GG I didn't install it anywhere becaue I got that error message before it started installing. The hard copy game I downloaded it to the default program files/P.E.

Do you have Vista or Win7 ? If so, then install CK outside of the program-files folder. But in folder called c:\games or something similar and then see if you can install it.

Oh, you seem to have a download error. You will need to contact GG support for that.

Veld...thanks for your help. Problem was with my anti-virus. Shutting it off while I downloaded from G-G did the trick.
