Hi I have been playing around with steam workshop and have downloaded a few items, all's well here. However I have made a couple of things in the ingame asset editor and a map, but I cant publish to Steam Workshop. When I hit the share button I get the window asking for asset / map name and description and then I press the publish button, it says preparing content then the publish button re-appears.

> I have agreed to the steam user agreement.
> I have entries under workshop content in my user area of steam but every one is empty, file size is 0.00mb and every item is 'hidden'

What am I doing wrong here?, why aren't items being published correctly?

For reference I am running Linux Mint 17.1, with the native steam client and native C:S installed.

I was having the same problem. Of five models that I was trying to upload, only one was successful. After reading the problems you posted I did some tests and discovered that the model preview image can't be larger than 1MB.

So when you enter the content manager, inside the game, in the assets section, before publishing the file, You need to check if the image preview is smaller than 1MB. You can do this clicking in the small icon in the corner of the image.
