At the first time I run CKDV, everything is ok. But then, I get this problem everytime.

Description:
Game initializing is ok. After I select a charactor and click start, the game gets an exception (sound effect) and cannot continue. Alt+Tab switch to desktop, see a dialog saying "Exception......Please Report." with only "ok" button. Press it, game exits.

Crusader Kings: v1.05
Deus Vult: 2.1beta (13 June 2008)

PC env:
Windows XP.

Sadly enough you are not the only one who seems to have this problem, look here

Paradox has not been able to reproduce those crashes, so they don't know what is causing it by some people (other people don't have crashes at all or very few)

Now if your save-game crashes each and every time, you might want to sent it to

johan@paradoxplaza.com

So that the developer can take a look at it

Thanks Veldmaarschalk. I don't have a save-game. I mean I don't even have a chance to save any game. It crashes every time I open a new game.

Hope we could pass it soon...

If it already crashes at the start of a game, then it is a different error then the ones that other people are reporting

Have you tried a complete reinstallation ?
