Would it be possible for this mod to have female succession for republics?

Females can be knighted, queens, bodyguards, paramounts, priests, etc.
Imagine Dorne somehow acquiring a merchant republic, would they not allow women to be eligible to lead it?

And with Daenerys, I wouldn't see it unreasonable for her to appoint a woman in such a position, assuming she desired a republic vassal.

You can start the game as a female republic house, but after you die only males can inherit.

I played in Voltanis as a female leading a republic house and became Triarch a few times. Assuming a woman was able to become a Triarch, I don't see why they would forbid any other woman the eligibility to pursue the role.

Thoughts?

Yeah succession laws are hardcoded from what I understand, which is why nobody could make enatic succession until Paradox added support for it.
The reason females can run for Triarch is because the Triarch position does not actually use any succession but is rather a yearly forced abdication/forced election of that one particular title. All the patrican families in Volantis still use the standard Republic succession type.

Wouldn't it be relatively simple to make a mirror of the patrician succession law based on a matriarchical structure for paradox? Available only via modding like enatic and enatic-cognatic obviously.

It might not be that easy, since republic succession takes into account many more things than simply birth order, but I'm sure they could do it. Request it and see what happens.

Female succession in republics is actually something I've studied extensively for the purposes of CotC, and I've developed a working system that allows women to inherit without breaking anything. So, there actually aren't any technical limitations - the real question is whether it's appropriate.

I'd considerer it appropriate if it was the Dornish people making a republic, allowing women to inherit, or that culture similar to the Dornish in the far east mountain that allow women to reign on the same ground as men. It's nothing canon, but having the opportunity to change the laws would nice.
