I thought it would be better to have fences for a good protection of airports and highways. They are required by law in a lot of countries. It's important, especially when there aren't noise barriers or elevated highways, where it's not necessary. But it would be great to have the possibility to use fences in other situations, i.e. with particular buildings (industrial harbours or freight stations), or to simply separate two dangerous sites. I can remember fences in CIM around airports, so, maybe, it's not a new item for CO. Maybe.

Yes I think there should be fences where ever there is a hazardous area for people and animals to keep out of. They're should be a fence icon button giving you a variety of fences from the country barbwire fence to a concrete wall barrier type of fence. Each costing the tax payers or the private sectors a certain price per section. For instances if a highway is running through the
urban city areas it should be equipped with a heavy chain link or concrete wall barrier type of fence. And if the highway travels through the rural area, a country barbwire fence would be most appropriate to keep a majority of animals out of harm's way.
In fact I think the highway road icon button should have every highway roads equipped with fences on both sides of the highway when needed. This would make it easy for you to lay down the highway with and style of fence appropriate for the area. The highway intersections could be laid out by you.
If anyone has more ideas for fences please elaborate thanks.

Yeah but they took the fences out of CiM2. In SC2 it was the modders who made the fences and I suspect the same will happen here.

Yes, but the game will be different from CiM and CiM2, the developers are making a different game.

It will be fantastic if present, but a separated icon with different kinds of fences would be perfect! Could take note of this advice, CO, please...

You could use the idea from cities in motion 2, changing a single road to a multiple lane road . When changing a highway to the lane you want. You can simultaneously change the fence style appropriate for the highway. I still think its a good idea to rate the cost of the style of fence your going to use per segment.

The developers of CO told us that we will be able to decorate space between buildings, place trees and props etc, and this with the park icon. I hope that a multiple fence icon will be included in the park icon, even with barbwire fences.
