I've played a few games of HOI and it's variants but have never had perhaps the most iconic message you can get:

"Our army in Stalingrad suffers from lack of supplies".

Well, it's actually a corps of two armoured and one motorised, but I still need to rescue it. Not a problem, Goring said he could drop supplies by air...

The only wat to deal with that city playing as Germany is to nuke it. Also, same goes for Moscow.
