no, this is a Russian release - one of the best Russia-made games ever (that is until CK is released). it is called Corsairs in Russian, but the international release is called Sea Dogs. This is a much-anticipated sequel.

*nods* Alright, I know of Sea Dogs, IIRC the map wasn't the real Caribbean though correct? I recall that aspect turning me off a bit...

Yeah, guess you're right about the map...
But it was fun, but a bit linear. Sea Dogs 2 looks to be much better...

would anyone have a link for this sea dogs game handy? might wanna take a look at it. sorry for the loss webbrave, especially since money is so tight in russia nowadays. do you have to go to the forest to get some wood for the oven yet? jk, in any case thats how BBC portrays contemporary Russia. :D

sadly, my axe was stolen by the mafia last week so I'll have to live through the winter with Gameland magazine. It has 140 pages, so I'll roughly have 1,5 pages for every cold day. This is not too bad, especially if I find some newspapers in the park (they are hard to find these days)

The parks or the newspapers???:D ;)

naturally! do you even have to ask?

For obvious reasons I can't comment on the quality of the article. Bear in mind however that Gameland is primarily targeted at pre-teens and teens, and half of the audience is console.

No screenshots were made available as a part of press process, that is true. We didn't feel ready to release them -- make a debut -- through this article, I have to confirm.

Map was not in the final shape for the press date. It will be published (I very much hope so) in one of the next issues.

The most informative article so far that I would like to refer to was a preview/interview in Igromania (www.igromania.ru) in late summer, they have spent much time with Duke in Red and me and got most of it right + hard facts quoted.
