Finding the holder of a title.

Sometimes I find I control enough provinces to create a title but cannot, presumable because somebody somewhere already holds that title.

So I would like to usurp the title, but it can be hard to find who actually holds it if it is held by someone who has several other titles, lives in a distant land and the one I am interested in is not their primary title.

Is there any shortcut to see who currently holds a particular title?

Get the Duchy/King Title abbreviations from the Sticky thread, then open up the Save Game file and do a search near the top for that abbreviation. It will tell you what that characters main title is.

Edited to correct the silly spelling of Duchy -- (I write Ducky far too often - lol)

Also, it never hurts to check out the King of the Area in question. Most times, he's the one holding it (especially if he's going through a period of Realm Duress).
