Not sure...to my undrestanding the independence is triggered by the commie revolution, or actually by the Lenin makes peace thingie.

Which shoulnd't actually be the case since Finland gained it's indpendence trough other means.

The independence is fired by the October Revolution, although this provides the occasion for Finnish freedom rather than the cause. :)

Exactly. At the moment we have one event sequence that triggers the break-away of all Russia's subject nations. You can certainly argue that Finnish independence had other causes as well, but exactly the same could be said of Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Belarussian, Ukrainian, Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian independence. Not to mention all the other governments too small to represent in the game which took the opportunity to 'liberate' themselves.

Of course, if you're interested in writing new events for all these countries, you're entirely welcome... but singling out Finland as a special case would be awkward, and also lay us open to angry remarks from the next Pole or Ukrainian to download the mod and feel unfairly victimised...

Reading another book now...trying to figure out ways to handle the war.

I also decided that the Soviet Union has no influence in the surrender of garrisons in Finland, IRL it told them to fight but vast majority of them surrender quite quickly.
