January 2nd 1936

"Explain this to me again?"

"It is quite simply von Manstein." said Himmler in a cool steely voice.

"The Chancellery cafeteria ran out of Danishes. The Fuhrer flew into a rage, and ordered an invasion of Denmark to ensure a continous supply of what he refered to as "the tasty pastry". Will you follow orders or do I have to get someone who will?"

"No need Heinrich, Denmark will by part of the Reich by the end of the month."

"See that it is so, or your carrer is finished."

January 22nd 1936

Coppenhagen is a beautiful city, it will make a good addition to Germany, I thought as I looked upon the city.

More important though is the acqusition of Iceland and Greenland. If we ever go to war with England again, those naval bases will be important.

I fear the war will be to soon however, French and British public entusiasim for war is growing. We need a year or two to prepare,
but Hitler will probably touch off another Great War by invading Belgium for it's waffels next week or something stupid like that.

"Von Manstein" one of my flunkys called out, they are so hard to tell apart. "The industrialist from the Rhur armament factory you wanted to meet is here. You know, Dr. Strangeglove."

"Yes show him into my office, Karl" I said. If we are going to fight France and Britain we will need new weapons.;)

This is actually quite good, I will be following it. It is in the same vein as BiBs "we all live in a nuclear sub' or whatever its called, is it? or is it more serious?

January 22nd 1936

"Dammit! We don't need a superweapon five years from now. We need practical weapons for the army next year!" I yelled in frustration.

"But Herr General, the Mushroom of Death will be able to destroy an entire army in an instant." whined Dr. Strangeglove. Such an odd fellow, brilliant, but his twitching gets on my nerves.

"Look I want assualt rifles, antitank weapons, and increased mass production in the armament factories by the end of the year.
If you want to start a long range project, Goring wants you to look into RADAR." I told him emphaticly.

"Ahh, our planes will swoop down upon their foes like the bat upon the insects of the night." He said as his face light up.

"Yeahhh, just make sure you have everything else delivered on schedule." I said.

"It will be so, untill we meet again, Herr General" He said as he got up and left. I hope it's later rather than sooner.

April 3rd 1936 Army HQ on the German Austrian border

"The French and British have declared war on us why?" I asked Goring, stunned.

"Well the Danish shortage in Parisian cafes have stirred up great resentment there, but they hadn't been able to get the Brits to go along with them. It was the German beer embargo that began in May that turned the British in favor of war. The French could simply increase wine production, but we all know how piss poor British beer is. They had to declare war befor the whole country went dry and English civilization collapsed. What are your war plans?" Goring asked

"I will make a feint near the Swiss border and when their forces have moved to counter I will smash through their lines at Starsburg." I said

"You think you can break through the Maginot line?"

"Yes, when I strike we will outnumber them five to one, they will have stationed much of their army on the Belgium and Luxemburg fronteir expecting a repeat of the last war." I said confidently, although feeling quite differently.

"Then make it so, I have dibs on the Paris museum of Art" Goring said, that fat tub of lard. His old fighter would not be able to get of the ground even if he could some how fit himself into it.

April 28th 1936 VF day

I look down upon the city of light from the Eifel tower. It's hard to believe that Fance lasted only one week longer then Denmark.
They bought that feint hook line and sinker. Still they inflicted 80,000 casulties compared to the 19,000 suffered in Denmark. They even managed to take two southern German provinces.
But as soon as I took Paris on the 25th and the Fuhrer threatened to drown the whole population in taffy, the French surrendered.

We annexed the Northern and eastern parts of the country, and set up a pupet regieme in Vichy to controll the rest of the nation.

Goring is sacking the the Museum of Art as we speak, and from my perch I can see Hitler standing in front of the Arc de Triumph.
He is officialy renaming it the Arc de Capitulation.

Britian is still bombing the Fatherland, we will have to deal with her soon.

"Karl, send out marching orders to the 5th and 7th armies. Intelligence has reported King Leopold insulted the Fuhrer's mustash at a lunchen with the Grand Duchess of Luxemburg. The Fuhrer as declared this menace to good fashion must be stoped before its too late" I intoned seriously, you can never tell when a party loyalist might be listening. I agree with Leopold, that scraggely catapillar looks hideous, but there are other, better reasons to conquer Belgium. It juts like a dagger into the heart of the Reich. If it joined the allies British armies could sweep from it into the industrial heartland of Germany."

May 30th 1936 Luxemburg

"Radio this to the Fuhrer, Karl. 'Belgium and Luxemburg are ours. 27,000 casulties were sufered in Belgium, most lost in house to house combat in Antwerp. Luxemburg fell in a day with barely a shot fired and not a man lost."

Another great victory but it won't matter if we don't knock out the British soon. America joined the Allies when we invaded Belgium and we don't have any allies at all. Although we have completly influnced the Austrian government to our point of view that won't be enough if America seends a five million men to England. We must ally ourselves with Japan and force the Americans into a two front war.

July 2 1936 Antwerp
"It was such a horrible dream Manstein!" Hitler exclaimed.

"I am sure it was mein Fuhrer." I say sympatheticly.

"Giant wooden shoes were slowly treading through downtown Berlin causing catastrophic devastation. I demand that you invade and nuetralize the Neatherlands before this prophetic vision of armageddan comes to past."

How overly melodramatic, and stupid, I don't understand how he rose this far.

"Has you command it shall be done, mein Fuhrer."

July 12th 1936 Amsterdam

Only ten days of battle, but they were an intense ten days, 32,800 men were killed or wounded. There are a lot of bodies floating in the canals of Amsterdam. The Dutch still refuse to surrender, though why I don't know. They and the Belgians can't possibly hope to retake their homelands from their colonies. American bombers have begun to strike with the British at our industries. They will feel our wrath next, or not, it all depends on the Fuhrer.

Nice piece of writing! Keep it up, I enjoy every line of this aar.

Sorry for disapointing you, but this AAR has come to an end because I have upgraded to 1.02
By november I had conquered Lithuania and Poland. Way to easy, 1.02 is much more dificult and realistic.
