Well I've patched it, but I'm still getting vassalisation offers from various Russian princes and counts. I got rid of the Prince of Muscowy (Whose vassalisation offer I'd accepted earlier, before realising I simply didn't want all that territory!) by declaring war on him, grabbing one county I did want, and letting the rest go.

However, something I am worried about is that my prestige seems to go down very suddenly for no apparent reason - I was on 3000, then it went down to 2400, then my king died and my new king has 300-odd (that part is normal, I know), and suddenly I've got -950. Any ideas why this is?

Did you continue a save-game ? Or did you start a new one ?

Hi everyone,

Sorry to keep bugging you all with questions, but it does seem that my save game is struggling. Is there any way to rescue it, or should I just uninstall CK, reinstall, patch it properly, and then install any mods I want, and then start over?

Cheers,
Stigandr.

The bug that wasn't fixed in your version was that every time you reloaded, the relations value between the realms went up. That meant that after af few reloads everybody had +200 relations to each other (within the same religious group). This lead to vassalization requests across the map.

Now you have fixed the problem, but the ffect is still present as the realms still have +200 (or close to it) relations with each other. So you are still seeing people requesting to become your vassals.

Sadly you will probably either have to wait it out until the values start dropping again, or start a new game.

You might also want to take into account, that if you have a claim on a distant title, they are more likely to send you vassalization requests. So when you released that Prince of Muscovy, if you kept a claim on any of his titles, he'll be back hounding you within a few years or in a generation or two.
