First time for Multiplayer, want to play 8/1, 8/2, 8/3

Very experienced player of HOI, currently playing 1.05B tweakpack with CORE 0.52. I would like to play multiplayer this weekend -- the girlfriend is out of town, and I have 48 hours to myself, would like the challenge of MP instead of facing the AI.

Have never played MP before, so I need guidance on how to go about this. I am in the Eastern Standard Time Zone in the US, and have a cable modem. I would prefer to play a game with 'historical' minded players with some house rules designed to nullify 'gamey' exploits that would not have been possible IRL.

Please let me know if you are interested in playing and where we can meet up at to play. I do not currently have ICQ installed on my machine, but do have AOL IM.

Just moved into North VA area. I am awaiting my shipment...probably be set up in early September. Would like to get into regular historical game at that time.

I, too, am very interested in a multiplayer game. I didnt play multiplayer yet, and i wich to enhance the HOI experience now. My problem is that i can only play in weekend cause of my work(nite shift). Dont know if i still can have a spot .....
Btw if u want me in, and we agree on time, be assure i'll be there.

BTW, how long have you been playing yourself? You registered for this board in July of 2003, but I see in another thread that you are seeking to start a clan for 'expert' players. I am sure I do not come anywhere near close to qualifying since I am a 'noob', but I wondered what the criteria are to be considered an HOI expert since you consider yourself to be one.

Played a few games online with my cousin when i first got the game but we had no clue what we were doing. It was ugly to say the least. No experience gained

Dont have Core installed. I am assuming that we all have to have compatible versions. What version of CORE do you have.

How drastically are the tech tress altered? Maybe i should play some games of HOI with the CORE mod installed so that i may familiarize myself with its techtree.
