Summary

Fix for combat performance

Description

As the developers are currently aware, numerous players report poor performance in combat maps, but good performance in the strategy map.

I have identified what I believe to be a catalyst for resolution. I suffer from this exact same issue when playing on my ROG ally x.

When I enter combat, My FPS drops from 60 to about 20 to 30.

However, if I press the a button on a unit to go into the model zoom and inspect it, And then I press the B button to go back to the combat map, My FPS is now 60 again. At some point during the fight, it will revert back to 30 again, And if I perform this fix the second time it reverts back to 60 again.

Note that I am playing in controller mode. I do not know if this is a contributing factor.

What it does prove I hope is that this is a bug and that combat is perfectly capable of running at 60 FPS and beyond.

Steps to reproduce

Start a combat
Fps drops from 60+ to 30 or below
Press A button on a unit twice to open the model/unit inspection screen.
Press B to go back to combat.
FPS is now normal (60+)
