We played a multiplayer game that lasted for
6 hours and was set in Grand Campaign..

The actual bug we found occurred when my (Austria)
treasury went low, about <50 or so. For some reason
I took automatically a loan.. One of the most annoying
times this happened was the time I paid off a old debt
and had 70 money left, and got another loan immediately.

After a largish war with turkey, I attempted to pay
back all those debts but for some reason my money wouldn't
be accepted.

After a while the payback time of my latest loan was 1516,
the year we were playing was 1520...

bad AI - part:
One of the things that makes playing against computer absurd,
is the fact that when proposed with peace treaties, AI doesn't
consider its other wars. So, only way to make a white peace is
to conquer some of his land areas, even if he was fighting with
the whole world at the same time.

Can I confirm that the latest patch fixes the unending loan problem?

Can I confirm that if we resume a saved Mp game after adding this patch that I will not have any compatibility problems or increased crash potential

Thank you

ben

It doesn't fix it.

1.09 does not fix the loan bug. As time progresses throughout the game, the loan bug usually worsens (my last game it took somehow took 20 loans in a 3 year period for no reason whatsoever.. despite the 5 loan maximum). Consequently, I don't play EU multiplayer anymore.

Appalling

I can't believe that this hasn't been resolved yet. It is very disappointing to hear the above comments. Paradox, this must have been a labour of love to an extent, you must have found this problem in late night sessions in the office. So whats the problem?

Back to the board game?

A Quick question.

Did you have random or historical events on when you played?

It seems that the events which causes land and naval tech to increase does not work across the network perfectly.

This could be the source of the problem.

I had both historical and random events on.

Would it therefore be correct to say that to improve my chances of eliminating this bug I need to turn random events off? Or historical as well?

Ben

PS- I didn't really mean appalling. Just stressed.
