flicker screen problem

Hey all,

I just got CORE working, 2.5, on DD 1.2 I think.

Anyway, my screen flickers a few times every 10-20 seconds or so. Didn't do that before. Any ideas why?

do you check for programs running in the back ground?

it is something to do with an application in the background, i run firefox at all times and the screen flickers a little when one of the plugins updates.

I find it's AVG running in the background - just shut them all off forcibly and it's fine
