Chapter IV. Operation Buffer
Lebrun was in his car, on his way to a meeting with the rest of the ministers. Last week's plans were supposed to be concluded today. Next to him was a document, signed "top secret". The first page had only one sentence: Operation Buffer. The government had planned a military assault on the Netherlands, forcing them to flee to their colonies in Indonesia. This would create a strong France against the possible German attack.
The operation started with a swift offensive:
Progress was made quickly, and Amsterdam was captured on the 13th of May 1937. After the final region, Utrecht was captured, the Dutch government announced this:
(OOC: I created that event. It's basically the same the dutch capitulation, except that it is for France)
A strong European wall is now forged. But if the Germans would attack, all industry would be destroyed by the bombings. Therefore, Lebrun was already planning to make the most ambitious conquest ever: to take on the United States.
His plans were strengthened when the UK accepted to give us military access.
20 divisions were now headed towards Bahama.
