Forging the Empire Once More - a French AAR

Short update!

XIV: Preparations

Even though we sent troops to Finland, they lost the war after 75 USSR divisions appeared. If France ever gets to war with Finland, they will be puppeted and Greater Finland will be created.
While deploying the forces to the German front, a message was received that would tremble all of the world.

Surprisingly, the Soviets seemed to have the upper hand in the war. They had more divisions than Germany had. Still, even though you'd imagine Germany was doomed, other nations apparently thought that this was an opportunity to attack. So, Bulgaria, Portugal and Finland joined the Axis. Lebrun and his ministers saw the chance of an invasion, with over 300 divisions in Europe (of which 35 came from the Americas) against the ~180 German division, who are fighting already.

So, the inevitable question comes.

Should we attack?

OOC: Some figures. There are 35 divisions in the Bulgarian front, 40 in Portugal and the rest are in the front with Germany and Hungary.

I can't believe Germany is still neutral. It is a perfect ocassion to knock French core territories out of action. Stupid AI:wacko:

EDIT: Or at least it WAS a perfect situation for GER.........

EDIT2: Attack, of course. GER has no chance while at war with USSR.

How many divisions do you have total? Watch out for the Germans/Bulgarians attacking into Romania.

I would most likely attack, since you have the upper hand on IC and a shorter front then Germany I don't see what could go wrong. Well strictly speaking Britain could decide that there have been enough of french expansionism and attack, but to counter that you just have to have enough troops to attack thru Persia and then you hold the british empire by their family jewels, I.E India

I have 316, of which 306 are in the front. The rest are in Syria.

Anyway, I'll tell you now that I won't go on a WC. The game is already very easy, so I think I'll probably just destroy Germany and the USSR, maybe a few more nations too. But HoI3's expansion is coming soon, and even though it's buggy, I'll play it.

XV: The gates of Berlin

Shortly after Lebrun's official declaration of war speech, all the armies started to move out. Germany's dissent had risen from the war against the USSR, and therefore they didn'd show any resistance against the French armies. The entire western front was open:

Portugal soon lost their European possessions, but they still had the Azores and their African colonies. Armies began to invade. First nation to bite the dust was Hungary. They should not have joined the Fascists.

Soon the French armies would capture Prague, then Warsaw, then Berlin...

Currently I'm not at war. I left the allies on day one.

XVI: The Crusade Ends

The German armies had to withdraw province by province after facing the superior forces of France and Soviet Union. The most glorious point of the Soviet War against Germany was when they captured Warsaw, but the French headed for the ultimate conquest.

The German forces were now disorganized and weak. Slowly they were pushed northeast, until on the 6th of July, a breakthrough happened. The war would end soon.

On the 9th day, Portugal was annexed. Bulgaria was annexed three days later. And the 16th of July 1940 saw the hour of Victory:

The French celebrated. The Crusade was over. France would remain superior in any part of the world with her leader, Albert Lebrun. 4 years had passed, but finally the vision of Europe was completed. The last nail to this art - covering all of Europe - was the annexation of Switzerland two weeks after the German surrender.

That concludes this AAR. There is simply no more challenge left in the game. I might start a new AAR, most likely in HoI2 (just because of the ultra-active AAR community) or in AoD. At least when Semper Fi comes out, you can expect an AAR.
