I just began my first Rome game in ages with the new official patch and have already encountered a bug on day one of the game.

I'm playing as Pontus. Before I unpause the game on day one, I organise everything I need. I sent out diplomats to Egypt, Pergamon and Sparta to negotiate trade. I saved the game and resigned. I then went back to the game and unpaused. Strangely, I had no trade success / fail messages. I tried to send another diplomat to the aforementioned countries to talk trade but couldn't as I already had a diplomat there and had to wait until February 1st to try again. So, in a nutshell, the game forgot I had sent diplomats after I had resigned and reloaded, but forbid me to send more.

It's quite hard to explain, but I have attached the save game so you can see the situation.

I know it's not a big deal, but it's a bug, nonetheless.

This happens because the game just saves the fact you sent a diplomat, where you sent him and the 30 day timer but it doesnt save the type of mission.

It takes the AI one day to react to your demands and to treat your diplomats, so you have to wait that one day and save when you have the AI reply delivered. The diplo/intrique effects which dont require AI participation are applied immediately as you hit send of course.

Thanks for the reply. I just started a new game and saved on day two instead. Like I say, it's not a big deal but it's never done this before, so I thought I'd point it out.
