OOC: Join the Cheju Pact!

OOC: Join the Trans Oceanic Pact for a jolly good time.

Officially Prime Minister Adam Johnson,
crocodile-dundee.jpg

2031 April-June:

At the beginning of 2031, the nations were orgainzing in 3 main blocks for research, each guided by one of the 3 powers. The Turkish Federation's backstab to China, following the resign of Muhammad Zakharia Efendi, and rising of President Sami Cetin, left the People's Republic of China with a disadvantage against the other powers. The 3 research pacts currently are:

The Rio Agreement: EU, Brazil, Turkish Federation (31 Labs)
The Cheju Pact: China, South Africa (21 Labs)
The Pacific Pact: USA, Japan, Oceania (31 Labs)

The latter formed in the peace conference about Indonesia, where the following was decided:

Territorial and Economical Divisions:

Oceania: Indonesian Papua Island, Maluku Provinces, Nusa Tenggara Provinces, Eastern Java, City of Jogjakarta, for a total of 68 Millions of Population, 75 CI, 1 Research Facility, 4 Financial Centers, 1 Maintenance Facility, 2000 Wealth.

Malaysia: Island of Borneo (Kalimantan), Island of Sumatra and surrounding Archipelagos, Bantan Province (Westernmost Java province) for a total of 72 Millions of Population, 75 CI, 2 Financial Centers, 1 Maintenance Facility, 3000 Wealth.

Japan: Island of Sulawesi, Central and Eastern Java, City of Jakarta, for a total of 105 Millions of Population, 150 CI, 1 Research Facility, 9 Financial Centers, 2 Maintenance Facilities, 5000 Wealth.

USA: Military Base on the Island of Riau, 1 Research Facility, 1 Maintenance Facility.

The occupation was everything but swift, indonesian civilians were obviously not happy against Japanese, and especially, the Oceanian occupation, which was perceived as a weak nation.
Malaysian affairs went swifter, as many inhabitants in Kalimantan and the province of Aceh saw them as liberators, and joined happily the Malaysian Federation. The rest of Sumatra, however, didn't.
[Oceania: -30% Stab, Japan: -20% Stab, Malaysia: -10% Stab]

A trial in the USA found guilty every important member in the government, altough decisive evidence was found only for the Military Department. 3 Members of the Indonesian government, fearing a fake process that would sentence them to death, preferred a suicide. Needless to say, the case went immediately worldwide, and USA's prestige suffered, particularily in the eyes of SE Asian nations.

However, the world was distracted by the announcement of a new technology discovered in China. It seemed clear that the People's Republic was out-teching everyone, but EU announced 10 days later that the Turkish Federation gave them blueprints for Geological Survey Sensor, previously discovered in the Cheju Pact, and announced that the new Pressurised Water Reactor Prototype was operating. The world was stunned by the fact that EU quickly caught up with Chinese progress, and even more when, 1 month later, Brazil announced its own breaktrough in a secret tech, meaning that EU scientists worked alone, with no help from Brazil. And what could be called the "Coup de Grace" was the launch of the ESA Military Orbital Shipyard, the first Human Orbital Factory. USA and the pacific pact were lagging behind, but they announced that TN Tech was implemented on 30th June. The future of the RCEA is now unclear, and so is the agreement with Oceania. However, China was not sitting idle. As Malaysia joined the Pacific Pact with 2 more labs, China managed to influence Arabia and Persia, gaining 5 more labs for their Scientific Department. The EU concentrated their effort on South America, and signed a trade agreement with Argentina. TN tech was becoming more and more common around the world, and the outer space is full of resources, waiting for the nations of earth.

Notes for the players: Malaysia needs stats, i'll make them in the next update.
New units arrive with the next update, and ou have to choose between 2 Armor or 3 Infantry. Construction times are the same.

Lord Dalek, India and Russia are not aligned with anyone. You're free to choose. They'll both get TN tech this year.

A message to all Nations,

The Commonwealth of Oceania would again like to re-state their desire for the mineral Uridium. We are willing to trade resources or money for Uridium, we are in a dire need and have run out of this supply. Any nations willing to trade with us please contact our ministry.

Trade Minister representing Prime Minister Adam Johnson of the Oceanian Commonwealth

The Republic of Central and East Africa has a surplus of 100 Uridium, and would be more then willing to share with its friends in Oceania, and a possible trade can be arranged with ease.

- Ministry of Economy and Development of the Republic of Central and East Africa.

As the transnewtonian revolution in technology spread throughout the world all nations were faced with a big question. Where do we go from here?

New opportunities opened up in all fields of technology, civilian fields as well as military. Space as well as Earth. National unity in the US was bigger then in a long time, as could be expected after the swift resolution of the war where the US policy makers and Military had shown great determination.

Already since the first promising research studies published back in 2028 hinting about the possibilities of the new material types with Trans Newtonian properties a struggle had been going on inside the US congress, universities, departments and White house. A struggle between some of the mightiest corporations on Earth about who should get state and research support for their amazing projects. Funding was not the biggest problem however, most of the US wealth were in the hand of these companies by now, but securing the research support and government approvals for new facilities was the problems.

Combined it's estimated that the top ten corporations spent over one billion dollars on Lobbying in this issue alone, between 2028 and Today. Among the largest spenders were names like General Electric, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Westinghouse.

Many more billions was invested to build new and to upgrade research facilities at universities, NASA and the local research facilities of corporations. The first trans Newtonian revolution in USA was taking place before the actually technology had been fully mastered, and it was a revolution of re aligning research labs into these fields of research and materials discovered.

A bright future was awaiting USA and it's allies, of that every American was confident.

Bonds with Japanese industries were better then ever. Westinghouse was still owned by Japanese Toshiba (Since 2006), and General Electrics expansion in 2018 when they acquired Kawasaki Heavy Industries had made them almost as big on the Japanese market as on the US.

General Electric was also the first company to emerge with full senate and White house support for their main projects.
Their promise: To harness the new material Sorium with it's fuel like properties and use it to power the Technological revolution on all fields and on all scales of size.
To assist them with the nuclear like properties of Sorium Westinghouse was also heavily involved.

h8kd1kI.jpg

In accordance with the PTDP the technology was to be shared once mastered, and in return US companies, government and military could count on getting detailed assistance by their overseas allied on the other side of the Pacific.

The Japanese empire is very pleased with the cooperation in our current alliance with USA and Oceania to achieve higher scientific accomplishments. Recent discovery of the transnewtonian tech will indeed help us become mightier. Combining our labs has made it possible to achieve things we never thought possible before.

Japan honors this alliance, and invites Prime Minister Adam Johnson and President Edward Wright to sake.

I apologize with everyone for having not been very active in the last 5 days. I've now finished other stuff i had to do.

I'll send a reminder to those who haven't sent orders as of now, the deadline is tomorrow as stated by the previous 31th Jan post.
