We in the Republic of Pakistan are most despondent over the heightening tensions worldwide. The Republic of Pakistan strenuously condemns the undemocratic coup by right-wing military forces in Argentina. The people made their voice heard through proper elections, and it is the duty of the government and armed forces to serve the people, not enforce their own rule upon the people. The Argentine government appears to have the situation under control, and we are most thankful for that, hoping that such a quick end will discourage further coup attempts against democratic nations.
The conflict within Lebanon is most unfortunate, and we can only hope that peace and stability is once more restored to the region. The widespread use of armed militias in the conflict has no doubt contributed to numerous human rights violations, and Pakistan supports the efforts of the Syrian government to restore order to Lebanon, and prevent the creation of another failed state in the vein of Palestine.
Pakistan condemns most fiercely the massacres carried out by the Romanian Iron Guard against the Romanian people. The people have made it clear that they wish to be free of the tyranny of fascism, but the German puppets controlling Romania have seen fit to brutally murder any who oppose them. Our hopes and prayers are with the brave Romanian people as they strive to escape from the German jackboot.
Finally, the Republic of Pakistan once more reiterates its desire for peace in East Asia between the People's Republic of China and the United Kingdom.
-Inam-ul-Haq, Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Pakistan
