Protests Against Serbia and Its Allies on the Rise!
Protests advocating for South German intervention on behalf of the Ottoman Empire have only expanded this week. Protests in front of Serbian, Russian, and Romanian embassies in Munich are now common place, occurring almost twenty-four hours a day. While most of the signs and chants by the protesters are simply calling for the belligerents to stand down in their war against the Ottoman Empire, some more threatening signs and chants have begun to appear, although we do not have specifics at this time. The situation was worst at the Serbian embassy yesterday afternoon, when a group of protesters identified as members of the Hand of Osmanli began throwing rocks and various other debris at the embassy's guards and windows. South German police who were on the scene immediately began arresting those involved, with the protesters offering only token resistance against their fellow South Germans. The situation appeared handled when a final protester pulled out a firearm and opened fire on the embassy. The South German police quickly tackled the gunman, who proved able only to shatter one of the embassy's windows. The Hand of Osmanli issued a statement later that day claiming that their members should not resort to terrorist actions such as that the gunman took, but it is unclear at this time how centralized the group is for this statement to have much meaning. Following the shooting, police broke up the protests in front the three embassies and ordered the protesters to not return until more effective and tighter security can be arranged. The police have put forward a statement claiming to be looking for a way to prevent such an attack from happening again.

A Statement From the South German Government
On behalf of the South German Confederacy, I am horrified at the actions taken by a member of our country. I deeply apologize to the country of Serbia, and I assure them that the attacker will be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. While the attacker has been identified as a member of the Hand of Osmanli, the group as a whole seems to condemn the attack, although it too is under investigate. My Director of Domestic Security has ordered the police to keep the protesters away from the Serbian, Romanian, and Russian embassies until tensions calm and police can find away to keep an event like this from happening again. Once again, on behalf of the South German people, I sincerely apologize to the nation of Serbia, especially those working at the embassy in Munich.
~Joseph Reinhard, Chancellor of the South German Confederacy
