With boats and a second great army I will land at strategic points and besiege and burn their paltry hillforts until they surrender to me. Eventually, I will attack Ostlandet. and claim myself King of Noregr (Norway) as well as King of Sweden. A scion of the line of King Fairhair will be landed in the region and serve as my representative in the region.
Next time I'll need to post a tiered sign up list so stuff like the HRE, England, France get filled first. Too many people playing second rate countries..

The King Mieszko I Piast of Poland
Mieszko struggled with the reformation of his Kingdom. As he had expected, the selfish and traditionalist Polish elite opposed almost every chance he proposed. They said the old traditions have always worked, and will do so in the future.
Just before the year 970, Mieszko met a Catholic priest who had come to Poland in order to convert some Poles to Christianity. Of course the priest wanted to meet Mieszko. He was the ruler of all the Poles after all. Mieszko was very skeptical of this priest at first, but it didn't take long before the two were having long conversations about gods and traditions. Nobody knows what made Mieszko so interested of the priest's talk, but thanks to him, Mieszko decided to get baptised and start following the only true God.
Mieszko's next goal is to make the Polish elite Catholic. Mieszko believes that the Christian religion will help him reform the government. He will mix a lot of the Catholic traditions with the old Slavic ones. This way even the most traditionalist of the Poles will still get some influence of the Christianity.

With the passing of the warlike King Cuilén, mostly remembered for his wars against Strathclyde, his son Amlaíb was soon crowned upon the Stone of Scone. His line held long lasting connections to the Viking Settlements in Ireland, especially around the Pale. Though the blood in his veins called for war, pillage and plunder he decreed a time of peace for all the Scots, and invested heavily into the field and pasturelands of Fife, intent on improving the economy of his realm.
Well this is going kinda slowly so I'm thinking about rebooting it. This time with a tiered sign up sheet so that stuff like the HRE and France and England will be taken first. Thoughts?
Doesn't sound like a bad idea, seeing how almost nobody plays as the big countries (myself included). I wouldn't mind if we started over.
Right so I'm rebooting this today or tomorrow in the year 1500. I need singups for the following countries FIRST:
-HRE (in PU with Spain, Burgundy)
-France
-England
-Poland (in PU with Lithuania)
-Ottomans
-Ming Dynasty
-Timurids
-Safavids
-Russia
I would otherwise pick Poland... but I want to colonise the new continent, so I will go with France. (Btw. I wonder if there are any special mechanics or rules for the Americas.)
