As so sometimes happened, Wèizhī had the sudden idea to create something. Although normally it was more haphazard; this time, Wèizhī was certain. It raised a thin spire of dark stone out of the ground in the centre of the continent, roughly ten metres wide all around. This spire was raised to a huge height, towering above the landscape. It would be visible even from the edges of the continent, provided that one did not have anything obscuring it. Atop this spire, Wèizhī created a mass of swirling black clouds, concealing said top. However, it remains unknown if this swirling mass of clouds was a piece of Wèizhī itself, or simply just a swirling mass of clouds. At the base of the spire, Wèizhī created a small forest, seemingly always dark and dead. This forest would come to be known as the Dark Forest of the Spire, due in large part to its appearance.

The first thing Amphitrite did, when she awoke on this world, was rush to the Sea. She could smell the sea-air, in the distance. She could feel the very presence of water, her natural home. She ran, and ran, and eventually reached the Eastern coast. There, she stopped, and gazed upon her dominion. It was vast. It was beautiful. And yet, it was under threat. Already, the other Gods woke. And they, they too would shape this world. They would wreck her splendid ocean - tearing up the seabed, raising up islands, and even evaporating entire sections of water. Already, she felt pain - for Hektor sundered her realm in the West. Amphirite grew protective, jealous. She knew the other gods would come, and likewise spoil her sea. No, no, that could not be allowed. And so, Amphirite entered the sea, and swam. And as she swam, rock and coral grew. These rocky outposts grew in size, and soon jutted out into the open air. She swam in loops, in circles, and occasionally stopped - there, larger islands and mountains grew. And as her great swim continued, a mighty and vast archipelago appeared - one to protect her realm, and to hinder her peers.

After recovering his strength at his new Palace on the Island of Troy Hektor was ready to start the creation of his people. First he ensured that all the islands would have fertile ground and the sea would be full of fish to feed their people. Then he created on each island a particular resource that only that island would have: Wood, Copper, Tin, Stone, Clay, Gold, Silver, Olives, Grape vines for Wine, Marble, Flax and Wool.

He then created a race of humans which he called the Trojans. He then placed twelve groups of Trojans in the twelve cities he had created. He made some of the Trojans thrifty, they would be the merchants, he made some ambitious and clever, they would be the nobles and rulers, he made some strong and hard–working, they would be the workers and he made a small number in each city innovative, they would be the inventors. He then made each city an independent city-state which would try to out-do the others.

The Creator smiled. The God's were getting uppity. Mayybe he wouldn't destroy this world. Maybe.

The 5 Avatar's of Dhurth

Chapter 1, Part 1 - The Quest of the Path
In the early stages of the World's Creation, Dhurth appeared to an Orphan in the city of Troy. The sickling Orphan, thinking that Dhurth had appeared to him to guide him onto the Path of Death, cowered into a dark corner of the City. Usually, Dhurth would have taken out his staff and used the upper end of his Staff, the Sickle, to "harvest" the soul at the end of its Lifespan, but he did not take out his Staff. With his calmly voice he said: "This is not your end, this is your beginning. I have chosen you, for your life has always been close to death. Search for the highest mountains. There, where everything is frozen and deadly, you will find a warming cavern. In this cavern, you will find a lake, filled not with Normal water, but water that has gotten the Blessing of Myself." - Dhurth then touched the Orphan, and touched him right into his soul, giving the youth a vision. He saw, what would happen of him, if he should die. He would go to the underworld, a place he was never destined to reach. "Fear not, for if you achieve your mission, you will never have to go to the Underworld, but can become the First of my Avatars, guiders of Death, unbound to neither the Underworld, nor to the Mortal World. " - Dhurth took his other hand and got out something from his cloak. What became visible, were 5 seeds. "Should you need my guidance again, and i know you will, take one of these, and i will show myself to you in your mind. Don't use them too carelessly, for the last of these you will need once you have reached the end of your Quest. Now go, you know what you have to do."
Strongly impressed, the Orphan took his little to nonexistent belongings and set forth, to achieve his mission, the First of the Five ascendancies, to become the first of Dhurth's Avatars.

To defend his new race Hektor built a new city on the peninsula and he created a new race: the Trojan Horse. This race were an echo of Hektor himself, strong, well-built and armed with swords, lances and shields while they had armor of bronze. He then created horses for his men to ride. He also built a Great Gate on the thread connecting the Peninsula to the Mainland which he called the Scaean Gate.

Hektor then returned to his palace and climbed the great Tower. Looking eastwards he saw the Great Spire and decided that one day he would climb to the top. He also saw the new archipelago created by the goddess of the sea and hoped that he and the goddess could keep relations cordial. He decided that the Trojans needed a great chronicler to record the events of their history and so with the last of his strength he created a wise man that would live at the top of the Tower of Ilion and record all the happenings of the age. In each city he then placed a chronicler who would record all the happenings of his city and this knowledge would then be stored in the Great Library of Troy inside the Palace of the Golden Horses.

OOC: Where is my dark forest? :(

Right. Coming up.

Name: Ragnaz

Appearance: Ragnaz appears as a giant man middle aged man wearing a bronze armour and wielding a large hammer. He posses a long white beard and has bizarre bird like golden eyes.

Gender: Male

Bio: Ragnaz is an old mighty god who decided to go on self-exile due to divergences with the Creator. He is constantly fascinated by the mortal races and loves to observe them, however he rarely directly interacts with them, preferring to use more indirect ways to influence the mortal world.
He enjoys shaping the lands, creating mountains, canyons and large underground caverns, his residence is in the core largest mountain of the world from where he lives in a monumental palace and observes the mortal world, it is said that in his palace there is an huge hall where he place sculptures of all great mortals that impressed him, though no mortal has witness it yet, it is said that sculptors and masons that please him can visit it in dreams.

He is patron of the thinkers, greatly valuing ingenuity and intelligence, lots of philosophers and inventors come from his priesthood. A great sign of his displeasure are the earthquakes though some people claim that this are too the result of him still shaping new things in the world.

God Of:
-Major: Earth, Science
-Minor: Masonry, Philosophy, Creativity

OOC: Just wondering once the world is created and the history starts rolling how will this work, will the races be an extension of the player or it will be the GM who will tell us what is happening in the world and with the races.

It will most likely be a combination of the two. I want races to be fun to have, but not to penalize people without races. You can of course make it so they are extremely obedient, but that also has some drawbacks.

Now, I'm going to make a God, but he won't do much, as that would be unfair.

Name: Kip

Appearance: Kip appears as a young boy of about nine, with frizzy hair and mischievous eyes. If he needs the added size, or if he wants to intimidate someone, he will become a ten foot tall burly man with a haammer the size of a refridgerator.

Gender: M

Bio: Kip is the youngest child of the creator, only 2,000 years old. He was sent to this new world to gain experience. Kip can usually be found in his forge, wielding a huge hammer about his size. He loves forging things, and only takes a break to go on a thieving jaunt. Never turn your back on Kip, because when you turn back all of your belongings will have disappeared.

Kip is usually located in his volcano, but also often goes to the forges of great smiths and aids them.

God of:
-Major: Metalworking, Thieves
-Minor: Fire, Weapons and Metal

"Uggggggh!" Kip exclaimed as he rose after a fall from the portal. "I need to recalibrate that." He got up and in the distance saw a dark spire rising into the sky. He decided tp ge situated, and so rose into the air. Far to the west he saw a large peninsula, and he decided to investigate. He got closer, but decided to stay away when he saw a fearsome gate and soldiers. He could easily have taken them all, but he didn't want to tussle with any gods. He decided to go north, and build his forge there. Kip soon chose a spot near the north coast, and so began constructing his forge. When he had built the furnace and all the neccessary tools, he thrust his hands upwards. Slowly, lave began to spew out. Waving his hands, Kip accelerated the process, and he son had built a volcanoe around his forge.

Kip smiled, happy with his work, and decided this world needed some sprucing up a bit. He created sprites of ore, whose only job was to spread veins of ore throughout the land. These sprites had very little memory, and spread across the land, laying down ore wherever they touched. Kip was satisfied, and began to forge.

The Creation of Ragnaz's Peak

Ragnaz looked at this new world and he was very pleased, it would a nice world to call home and shape, he looked with interest to the other gods domains, nodding approvingly.

On the eastern corner of the island he built an giant mountain rage and there he created huge mountain, taller than the spire itself. On it's core he build a titanic and finely carved palace, large statues of the gods, massive columns and gigantic halls so tall you couldn't see the top, near the centre there was a throne room where he build a black marble throne for himself, with special care he built right next to the throne room the Hall of Heroes, thought empty for now, this hall would one day filled with the statues of great mortal heroes* and their deeds.
Every mortal would know subconsciously that this great mountain is called Ragnaz Peak, where Ragnaz himself resided.

However the entrance to the palace was hidden, for only truly great mortals capable of surviving the many dangers of climbing this mountain and finding the hidden door would be able to gain an audience with him.

*By heroes I mean just mortals who do achieve great things, good or bad.

Amphitrite rested, on one of the major islands of her creation, following the Great Swim. She looked out upon her work, and smiled. But now, she could see the other Gods, hard at work. Kip, Dthurh, and Weizhi all created their own kingdoms, their own realms, their own landscape. She once more feared for her own Kingdom, the sea. She realised then that creating new landmasses would not stop the others - and thus, what could? It would be an inspection of Hektor's creation that would provide the answer. After swimming to the islands he had created, Amphitrite observed the people he had created. They were hard-working, in dependant, and sentient folk. And thus, she decided to resolve herself to create her own race, and races, and thus protect her Kingdom through a host and will of subject peoples.

Her first race was basic. Crafted first from a nugget of silver from Hektor's kingdom, the 'Silverfish' was initally a basic experiment. Her race was small, scaled, gilled, and finned - very much like a normal fish, which was unseen in this world. It could only live underwater, and most importantly, lacked thought. And yet, they proved tough and expansive. They thrived, surpassing the later fish species Amphitrite created. They soon grew in number - indeed, they had colonised most of the seas by the time of the creation of Amphitrite's greatest race. The Merpeople, crafted from a large formation of coral, were based on Hektor's very own Humans - but the lower half of the Merpeople was very much like the lower half of a fish, with tails, gills, and a fin. These Merpeople could live both on land and the sea - although they could move much more ably underwater. She settled the first of them in her archipelago - her land dominion. For now, she was content to let them grow and develop independently - thriving on the bounty of the sea, breeding and raising new children. And yet, Amphitrite began slowly introducing to these Merpeople, their divine purpose - that of Guardians of the Sea.

The Walk: For months Tân walked the globe. Above the skies of the Trojan cities a bird of fire was spotted, though none noticed the Youth that walked amongst them. Some He helped, others He hindered, and in time He left. He crept through the Dark Forest and explored its intricacies, though He would not approach the Spire. From this place the Youth approached Archipelago of the sea goddess and admired the work he saw. He watched as life was spread across the land and mountains rose. Once all this was done, He explored the depths of the waves and let the currents of the sea carry him where they would. And then the Youth stopped.

The Creation of Land: On the Southern edge of this new realm his firebird flew, and in its path a ring of volcanoes boiled through the ocean, high enough to reach the heavens. The fires flowed outwards, and behind this protection Tân worked. Within the ring He created a fertile land of forests and plains, at the centre stood a single mountain from which great rivers flowed, lower than the out ring but high enough to command the region. With this work finished, Tân calmed the volcanoes and let the rivers run through them, creating inlets through which the inhabitants could reach the outside world. With His land created, Tân sought to establish his people.

The Creation of Life: First He created small mammals and birds for the forests and the plains, and fish for the rivers; these His greater races would hunt and feast upon. For His sentient races He first thought of the Trojans, so similar in their nature to the people of his past. He chose a different path for His new race, and looking into the mythology of his former people he remembered the Satyr, the Centaur and finally the Minotaur. In their image He forged three tribes to populate his land; the Satyrs to work, the Centaurs to war, and the Minotaurs to lead.

The Teaching: In the common tongue they were collectively called beastmen, but into their minds he imprinted their true name, Silurian, and the name of their land, Silures. These first Silurians were known to their descendants as Dawnus, gifted, for they were the only members of their kind to ever look upon their god knowingly. He told them of the signs that would dictate His will and the lone mountain where they could hear His voice. In doing so He gave His people the name of the mountain, Duw llais (God's Voice), upon which they constructed a shrine in His likeness where their shamans could interpret the will of Tân. For years he stayed, aiding his creations with their toil and teaching them the skills necessary to survive. One day his people awoke and the god was nowhere to be found. With his work complete, the Youth had withdrawn into the aether, waiting for the time when he would return.

Hektor was satisfied with the Trojans and believed they could handle themselves. He wished to leave his Palace and travel the world, exploring and discovering new places. He realized however that the Trojans would need someone to stand in his place and guard over them while he was exploring and so he created the Amon Kran, a human-like race who inhabited the Palace of the Golden Horses and looked after the people of Troy. Hektor also decided he needed an assistant on his journey and so he created the Eagle.
The Eagle was a human-like creature who instead of arms had a sword and whose skin was entirely made of a practically impenetrable metal. The Eagle was practically invulnerable to mortals and only the gods could defeat him although for them it would take little effort.

With his work complete Hektor began his journey and along with the Eagle he left Troy and began to travel the world. He left with the Amon Kran the sacred words with which they could contact him should Troy ever be attacked by beings they could not defeat and then he and The Eagle left Troy to explore the rest of the world. He decided to build his new home from which he would explore the world in the Northern part of the world. There he raised a huge mountain almost as large as the Great Spire which he then hollowed out and inside built a huge room. Above the main room he built two smaller rooms which he and the Eagle would use while the main room would serve another purpose.

The 5 Avatar's of Dhurth

Chapter 1, Part 2 - The Call of the Path

Hearing of the Ragnaz's Peak and the Mountains surrounding it, as well as of the Spire the Orphan chose to travel towards these two things. The path through the still lifeless land was harsh, and as he chose to take the shortest of ways, he traveled through the Dark Forest. The Forest was very living and natural, not a place that Dhurth would like, so much regeneration, such a lack of a deadly feeling. The Orphan was unsure, should he climb the great spire, or attempt to find access to it, or not, and chose to make another contact with Dhurth. He swallowed one of the Seeds, curious of their effects. Quickly the landscape and the forest became more and more blurry, until in his mind, he felt like he was swimming in a black lake. He felt, as if he was drowning and chose to swim upwards, further and further on. When he reched the surface, he saw 2 different things not being covered by the Blackly shimmering water. One of them was a seemingly swimming chain, crafted out of stone, while the other one was an arrow, seemingly grinning towards him. Dhurth appeared to him, walking slowly towards him. "I see, you have already noticed. These 2 Objects are like the decision you have to make, but only one of them is destined to be host to the lake. The true host, is the one which is able to be both above, and below the water. If you solve this, you can find the place to where your destiny calls, but the call is only the First of the things you will need. Travel onwards, and you shall find what you seek."
Dhurth walked away and disappeared, and suddenly the Orphan felt insanely heavy, sinking deeper and deeper into the water. "What was it, that Dhurth meant", he thought. He could not continue thinking for long though, as quickly panic spread within his body, he was drowning, dying in his own dreams. Falling deeper and deeper like a rock within water, he saw his conscious flying towards his body from above the spire, back into the forest. He woke up and he knew realized, only the Chain could be both below and above, and still be the same object, not the single mountain. He realized, not the Spire was the Place he had to find, but Ragnaz's Peak.

Kip was bored. He needed a challenge. And so he knew what he had to do: he issued a proclamation:

"Any God who can make the best monster will be given a magic weapon made by myself: Kip."

That is all.

OOC: Map to come in a little while.

The Dark Forest was a forest relatively devoid of inhabitants, in its early days. This persisted for some time, until Wèizhī passed through the area for the first time since its creation. As it went on its path, lifeforms reflecting its nature sprung up wherever in the forest it went. In this way, several of the more iconic denizens of the Dark Forest was created. These include the giant venomous spiders known as the Stygian Sentinels; the tall and lanky skeletal beings known as the Watchers; a sort of raven that appears to be almost rotting; larvae and insects of all kinds, and various kinds of creatures made out of shadow.
Furthermore, this second passing of Wèizhī also twisted the forest more than it already was, with some trees gaining the capability of seemingly coming alive at random. Some trees grew protective spikes, while others became larger and spread their dark roots all over the forest. Some plants in the forest even took to consuming flesh if available, and the ground itself darkened further. Parasitical mushrooms feasting on the dark trees of the forest became more common as well, and the whole forest appeared to be decaying, despite being very much alive and thriving.

The forest spread outwards from its original location at the base of the Dark Spire, and also grew thicker, making sunlight a very rare thing in the forest, despite much of it not being shadowed by the dark clouds at the top of the spire. The forest appeared to be in permanent night, and dark clouds roamed it as well, a part of the essence of Wèizhī that was left behind with its second passing.

OOC: Will there be any magic in this game? and if so how will it work? Last thing, can you add the people who joined recently to the player list?

Hektor heard Kip's challenge and decided that a magic weapon was always useful and so he decided to create a monster which he would place in the world as a challenge for the gods to try and best without using their godly powers and just a regular weapon. First he created a huge Wolf-Dragon that could fly and sprout flames out of it's mouth but was as intelligent as any other mortal. The Wolf-Dragon would also be armored with the same metal as the Eagle and would therefore need a great hero to defeat it. Of course a God could wipe the whole species off the face of the earth in a moment but what would be the challenge in that?
