SDS Positions:

*Ethnic Separatism: Most are in favor of increased Slovenian participation and representation in Zubrowkan politics rather than outright independence. Some argue for increased autonomy of Slovenians, but only the most extreme desire independence.

*Economy: In favor of mixed economy: Limited government control but mostly free market.

Society: Roughly centrist, leaning towards conservative.

Fascism: Strongly opposed.

Socialism: Strongly opposed.

Abortion: Opposed, except in cases of rape or health emergency of mother.

*NATO: Ranges from limited to strong support of joining NATO.

Warsaw Pact: Strongly opposed.

*Free Speech: Extremely supportive.

Education: Supportive of free, state-run schools alongside private schools.

Military: Supportive of a strong military to defend Zubrowka. Advocates for equal, unsegregated Slovenian participation in the armed forces.

Conscription: Varies. Some strongly oppose due to fears of exploitation, while others view necessary until (if) Zubrowka aligns itself with a larger military alliance like NATO.

Energy: No specific opinion/issue is unimportant to the party.

State Welfare: Zealous free-market supporters in the party are opposed, but generally the party is in favor of status quo.

All Zubrowka Forward Bloc
Motto: Forward!
Color(s): Deep Red
Leader: Hegedûs Tegzö
Ideology: Radical and Revolutionary Socialism, Pro-Soviet, Atheism

History: The All Zubrowka Forward Bloc was formed in 1904 as an underground organization originally called Socialist Youth of Zubrowka and grew slowly over the years. Under WWI they supported the Zubrowka government after a rather narrow vote. After the Great War (the one to end them all™) the Socialist Youth of Zubrowka renamed it the 'Socialist Bloc of Zubrowka' who hailed the "October" Revolution and wished to bring the ideas of the revolution to Zubrowka. Whilst they never got their revolution before being banned and brutally oppressed by the fascist regime when Arthur Henckels came into power.

During the Second World War the remnants of the party formed a resistance group that only significantly grew when the Soviet began their invasion, in which the party played a role in sabotage and harrasment of the Zubrowka forces. During the Sovet occupation they were also relevant and renamed their party the 'All Zubrowka Forward Bloc'; a name that they have kept ever since.

There have been up and downs for the party during the years but they have always been staunch allies of Moscow and it is believed that they receieve monetary support from them. They also stand in opposition to the Zubrowkan Communist Party, which they see as weak and as imperialist spies.

Name: Slovenska Demokratska Stranka (SDS) or Slovenian Democratic Party
Motto: "Slovenians Forever!"
Color: Slavic Red, White, and Blue

Name: The Liberal Party (Die Liberale Partei)
Motto: Peace and Prosperity through Liberty and Progress
Color: Yellow
Leader: Gregor Hausmann
Ideology: The Liberal Party was, for most of the 19th and 20th centuries, a dominant force of the left in Zubrowkan politics, championing such causes as the expansion of voting rights, the promotion of free trade, and the development of industry throughout the country. However, with the First World War, the Great Depression, and the rise of fascism and communism, the Liberal Party experienced the nadir of its political influence. Disbanding under fascist pressure in the 1930s, the Party nonetheless retained a robust leadership that was active in the resistance to the totalitarian regime. After the Second World War and the Soviet occupation, the Liberal Party was re-established, though it had lost its prominent political position and found itself stuck in the centre between nationalist conservatives and revolutionary socialists. Now the Liberal Party is a bit of an oddball in Zubrowkan politics, being the sole strong defender of classical liberalism (advocating little formal regulation of the labour market, privatization of industry, and the defense of civil liberties) and unashamedly promoting alignment with NATO and the American bloc. However, a minority in the party is wary of such radicalism, preferring that Zubrowka remain officially non-aligned and adopt a more ordoliberal economic system, in the German model.

Zubrowkan Democratic Social Union (ZDSU)
"Strength through Unity."

Color(s): Blue and Red

donald-rumsfeld-politicians-photo-u1

Leopold Baldemar Haas

Ideology: Strasserism-Lerschism; populism, anti-capitalism, ultranationalism.

The Zubrowkan Democratic Social Union (ZDSU) traces its beginnings to the foundation of the Free Zubrowkan People's Party (FZPP) in 1933, a group formed by the breakaway of Ernst Lersch and his Strasserist cohorts from the National Zubrowkan People's Party (NZPP).

Although mostly ideologically similar to the NZPP, as a vocal opponent to it Lersch's FZPP kept a low profile during Arthur Henckels' hold over the nation from 1934 to 1945. With the Soviet approach near the end of World War II Lersch and the senior leadership of the FZPP fled to the US occupied zones of Austria, hoping to wait out the occupation.

As luck would have it, the Soviets withdrew in accordance with agreed post-war plans, and Lersch quickly returned to Zubrowka. Looking to capitalize on the uncertainty gripping the nation he remodeled the FZPP, transforming it into the Zubrowkan Democratic Social Union, a party espousing Strasserism but with a human face: any talk of anti-Semitism fell from the party's ideology, and it geared itself largely towards populism, anti-capitalism and ultranationalism.

Initially the ZDSU found little success in the newly-founded Republic of Zubrowka, remaining largely in the political wilderness in the 1950's and 1960's, this largely attributed to Ernst Lersch's controversial ties with the NZPP during its early years in the 1920's and 1930's. Nonetheless he remained in command of the ZDSU until his death in 1971.

It was after Lersch's death that Leopold Baldemar Haas, commonly called 'Leo' Haas, rose to prominence: already an energetic campaigner for the party, Haas was also known to possess quite the personal charm. Although he did not succeed Lersch immediately as Chairman, he was elected Spokesperson and inducted into the ZDSU's National Committee. A year later, with Hans Vogt's resignation owing to a vote of no confidence, largely attributed to the growing youth wing of the party, Leo Haas was overwhelmingly elected Chairman.

As a younger and friendlier face for the ZDSU, Haas has sought to revolutionize the party: moderating it slightly, bringing forward younger faces and preaching a more positive message. Similarly he has largely removed reference to Strasser and Lersch within the party, whilst still directing philosophical credit to them: specifically with the party's official ideology being Strasserism-Lerschism.

ts-turul.jpg

The Turanian turul is one of the most important symbols of the Kurultai.

Name: Magyar National Kurultai (Magyar Nemzeti Kurultáj)
Party Anthem: Attila Induló (Attila March)
Motto: Arise heirs of Arpád!
Color: Dark Green
Leader: Attila Horváth
Ideology: Hungarian ultranationalism, Hungarian irredentism, anti-socialism, Turanism, neo-fascism

Turanism as a political movement rose to preeminence for the first time in post-Trianon Hungary, and from there it also spread across the border. However, in Zubrowka it attracted only minor popularity in Hungarian border towns and university circles, for the political life of the country was strictly dominated by Germans. Initially formed in the aftermath of the Hungarian Revolution, the Kurultáj acted as an anti-socialist movement aiding arriving Hungarian refugees in the border regions. It became a real political movement only in late 1960s, advocating for a Hungarian autonomy, breaking of ties with the Soviet bloc, as well as a general hardline anti-communist pro-NATO stance. The party endorses a liberal market economy despite of its conservative and authoritarian opinion on social policies. It has known links with foreign nationalists and neo-fascists, especially in Turkey and Italy, as well as cadres of Hungarian rightists who have emigrated to a freer society. The party chairman Attilla Horváth is a controversial populist demagogue, who for example calls for a ban on socialist parties and withdrawal of recognition from socialist countries, as well as the expulsion of a 'socialist fifth column' - the Roma. Despite of the small size of the Hungarian community and its fairly limited share of their vote, the Kurultai is very vocal in Zubrowkan politics, and sympathetic to the right-wing German parties.

Seeing as Sealy blatantly redid my Radical Centrists but with a worse flag, I'm instead switching to this:

The Conservative Unionist Party
pMyY9O6.png

Quick Information:
Motto: United and Unyielding
Colour: Prussian Blue
Symbol: A tree on fire
Leader: Tormund Mayer
Ideology: Conservative/Right-Centrist

Description:

Established in the wake of anti-socialist and anti-fascist backlash, the Conservative Unionist party prides itself on being the most economy-friendly party within the small nation state. Uniting together the right wing, its support ranges from the fledgling middle class to the ambitious members of the Catholic working class. The party also offers a strongly pro-European and anti-Isolationism stance, to steal the centrist vote from the Eurosceptic Liberals. Eurosceptic attitudes exist on the fringe Libertarian wing of the party’s popular support, but given that the small nation of Zubrowka does not have a strong economy, the Conservative Party argues that it could only gain net benefits from membership.

Quick Stances:

Ethnic Separatism – Should be illegal, but minority rights protected
Economy – Market Liberal
Society – Conservative, against much reform
Fascism – Strongly opposed
Socialism – Strongly opposed
Ex-National Socialists – Need to be investigated for possible crimes
Abortion – Fervently Against
Europe – Fervently in favour for economic benefits
Women's rights – No policy, most members quietly opposed to feminism
Faith – Secular, although relies on traditional Catholic backing
Free Speech – Crucial
Borders – Open to Europe, encourages skilled and semi skilled migration
Monarchy – Opposed, somewhat open to super majority referendum for it
Education – Private public mixture, faith schools allowed with oversight
Military – Pro national service, more funds needed
Energy – Needs moderate subsidies
State Welfare – Allowed with limits

Key Policies: Pro EU, Lower Unemployment via tax incentives, A stronger army

Congrats, you all make it in. Shynka doesn't technically count as a party so he makes it in too.

National stats updated with fixes and additions. You may begin campaigning; I will release first polls soon, with a little debate to follow. Posting some campaigning stuff before then will help and perhaps make my job a bit easier. (Who knows, you might even get some bonuses!) Participation in the debate will be determined by performance in the polls, and naturally the answers provided there will affect voter turnout and decisions.

Not making it in doesn't necessarily mean I didn't like your application or that it wasn't good enough, but that I needed a breadth of parties across the spectrum. Don't be dissuaded, since parties may dissolve and players may leave in the future. You could then re-apply with a new application or re-submit your old one if the timing is just right. Thanks to anyone that applied and showed interest in any case.

Women's rights: Generally supportive of great equality between the genders.
Faith: Secular
Free Speech: Entirely supportive
Monarchy: Firmly Opposed

NATO: Firmly opposed
Warsaw Pact: Somewhat supportive
Yugoslavia: Seen as an important regional partner for economic and military matters

Public Statement by the Zubrowka Centrist Party

We can no longer afford to isolate ourselves from the world at large. Isolation only guarantees we have no allies. With economic partnerships our great nation can benefit greatly allowing us to improve every aspect of our society from infrastructure and healthcare to our military to ensure both the prosperity and stability this nation greatly needs.

Talks should begin not only with our neighbors but with Europe as a whole. Neutrality has given no benefit and our party, champions and protectors of freedom, democracy and liberty, stand vehemently in favor of talks with NATO to bolster our security as well as our sovereignty.

However, free trade advocates as we are, any and all potential agreements will be closely examined in order to ensure the country's success and to ensure our people are not exploited by unfair agreements that would only hurt the workers in the long run. Together we can achieve successful growth, salvation for this nation lies in a steady path, a moderate path. The ZZP stands ready to represent the people in the coming election.

"The current ruling class of the nation, decadent fools all, are what rots this nation. Rots us like fascists, like communists, and like the church. A consolidated conspiracy is in place, one orchestrated by the most shadowy individuals, the most nefarious indeed, in which to repress the place in nature that Zabrowkan citizen is to take. Instead of searching for a life of worth, in which the sweat of the brow is it's own reward, we are forced to become nought but subjects. On our knees before a Church that does not care. On all fours for the Communists that seek to use us as mere work animals to produce needless extravagance for the politburo. On our stomachs by the fascists, so it's easier to kill us. These aren't choices, these are simply depictions of modern feudalism.

What needs to happen...."

"Sir, what does this have to do with our question regarding the existence of private roads?"

"I SAID, what needs to happen is a radical revolution, a removal of these corrupting influences on our society. We wish to have every man and woman, desirous of a virtuous life, and free of being nothing but a feudal subject in whatever form it occurs. Free enterprise is necessary for modern civilisation, as the freedom of action, movement, and wealth are the three pillars of what makes a man a man. We ask all men to properly form a rejection of the false principles of the foremost parties in modern politics, and put their faith in me as the First Citizen of Zubrowka, in order to enact this change. We must defend the rights that are given to us, and seize more as we can, we..."

"I'm sorry Mr. Zueller-Rollenstine, but this is not your soapbox, we thank you for your attendance but apologise for the lack of quality to our viewing audience."

In the background.

"This is a conspiracy I say, a conspiracy. Yet more signs that the powers that be won't let me speak freely! Don't be slaves, Zubrowkans, don't b...."

Vote Zubrowka - Heimatblock

Vote for the Homeland!
Accompanying a renewed offensive of populist rhetoric, decrying the established elite, the conspiring forces of foreign import, and domestic enemies, was posters such as these. When questioned by a reporter as to who exactly the sheep represented, party leader Guido Rohling said:

"Of course the wh- the left sheep represents the proud Zubrowkan, who takes his homeland back! And the other sheep, it is, uh, it is the various exploiters of the state - the foreign Yugoslav who seeks our lands, the traitor who conspires to pervert our nation!"

Rohling ended the interview shortly thereafter, citing important matters that he had to attend.

At a press conference given by the leader of the Grand Old Party, a reporter for the Alsänder Daily asked, "Mr. Ehrling, your party has been criticized as being a single issue party, focused entirely on reversing the democratically decided 1945 referendum."

"This is nonsense. Of course, we in the Grand Old Party wish for the restoration of the monarchy, we are focused entirely on helping the people of Zubrowka. To this end we are proposing tax cuts for the middle class and defense of our farming communities. We must secure the future of our people by looking at our past of humble work and honorable craft. Next question please."

SPEECH NEAR THE SYRJIK ORDNANCE WORKS
On behalf of the BfZ
"While others built fortresses to guard themselves from the wrath of a rightfully angered populace, what did our Movement do? It promoted the interests of the Zubrowkan worker, his family, and the land he inhabits. If we are returned to the National Chamber, we will continue to promote the policies which we are directed to support by those who support us. We will endeavor to strengthen this nation and to free ourselves from the yoke of the smug and powerful - those very same individuals who have turned a blind eye from our plights, who in times of recession dismiss our demands, and who would sooner see us dead than allowed any degree of support!

"When the recession arrived upon our land, forcing miners onto the streets and families from their homes, what did our nation's political establishment call for? Less restrictions on landlords! Less subsidies for tenants! They insisted upon policies which would only serve to benefit the wealthy, even as we begged them for assistance. Indeed, in their blindness, they failed to see that the policies most adequate for alleviating the situation originate not from a ruling caste, but from the worker!

"Now they speak the same words again! They write of unity! They write of stability! Unity in what sense? That we might follow in orderly rows behind their chosen leaders? That we might have no say in management? Further, stability in what sense? That poor management be allowed to continue in its course, undermining the interests of those it employs? They act as if the worker is little more than an animal, raised by the farm, and when ready, sent for slaughter - and they ask us to support such acts!

"Indeed, there is only one party which represents the ability for Zubrowkan workers to hold agency over themselves! There is only one party which supports a fair and appropriate management! Together we are capable of great things - together, in this Bewegung!"

THE PLOT TO DESTROY ZUBROWKA
From amidst the tight-knit and detached Slovene community within Zubrowka has come startling news - the burgeoning desire for the annihilation of the nation. Tipped off by an anonymous member of the Slovene community, Unser Schild dispatched its own investigative journalists to corroborate the news and to their ghastly surprise, there was discovered a festering movement devoted to the fulfillment of the Yugoslav ambition to annex our homeland.

Our anonymous source, hereafter named Jan for his safety, relayed the following tenants of the Slovene plan:

I. The subversion of Zubrowkan traditions. Evident within every fiber of these traitorous movements is the notion that our homeland is a Slavic land, that must be commandeered by the Slavic minority. They masquerade as proponents for equality, but beneath these falsehoods lie the insidious goals of reversal, forcing the historically German character of our state to be that of a minority by means of force and propaganda.

Unser Schild notes with concern that such messages are apparent in the contemporary Slovene-based parties even now, who push for special status and autonomy; could this perhaps be the first stage in a grand subversion? We do not know.

II. The glorification of Yugoslavia. In the bid for a Slavification of Zubrowka, naturally these Slovene cells look towards Yugoslavia as a natural accomplice, a state quite unlike ours. It is no small wonder that radicalism and communism go hand in hand, both ready to bring ruination if it means an advancement of its anti-religious, anti-human agenda; we feel no need to remind of the devastation our homeland faced at the hands of communism once before.

III. Suppression of the truth. Perhaps the most frightening aspect of this plan for Unser Schild as an organ of truth is the standardized plans in place to combat those who expose their aims. If any entity dare reveals the master plans of the Slavification process, then such an entity will undergo the worst of defamation, meaningless titles thrown to discredit and intimidate - fascist, xenophobic, populist. But Unser Schild stands ready to receive such attacks if it is for the betterment of our homeland.

We shall see how hasty the Slovene cells are to act, once this story hits the streets.

Ultimately, we in Unser Schild express our deepest condemnations towards the forces of separatism, Slavification, communism, and treason; we stand by our expressed mission statement of acting in defense of our homeland through truth and message, pen and paper, and if need be, through force of arms in our national military. Our support goes behind our security services in rooting out the Slovene fifth column, and our paper will stand at the ready to provide whatever assistance we can afford.

- Ludwig von Stift, Editor of Unser Schild

At an AZVB rally:

"For too long, the government funded by the Western powers of the United States and France, has ignored the needs of the Zubrowkan worker. We owe no allegiance to the Imperialists who wish us to fight against the Powers of Peace, who wish freedom and prosperity to the people of the world. Reject the ones who wish to destroy the proletariat and sell Zubrowka to the Capitalist! Vote All Zubrowkan Forward Bloc!"

HAHN DELIVERS 'DECLARATION OF WAR' ON ASBESTOS IN THE WORKPLACE

1hHa7Lw.png

RALPUNDSCHWER - Today, Maximilien Hahn delivered a fiery speech (part of a speaking series) in which he publicly announced the institution of formal restrictions against asbestos throughout Zubrowka. While the details on the proposed policy, as well as its actual legislative feasibility, are presently unknown, his attacks on "the Zubrowkan power elite," whom he accuses of "lacking any care whatsoever in regard to either their workers or their world," seem to be targeted in an effort to receive the support of a Zubrowkan working class which has faced struggles during the recent recession and in its aftermath.

During a brief press conference following the speech, Mr. Hahn was asked about criticisms faced by his party on account of their radicalism and seeming aggression towards the political establishment.

"Of course they would deride us as 'radical' - they would be directly harmed by our successes. However, I do not believe it is fair to attack us on our willingness to advance an actual agenda, and while I am not as eager as some of my compatriots in declaring myself to be a radical, I do not believe that the term is used in an appropriate manner. Certainly, there are parties far further from the mainstream - the only difference is that they control the pen - the press - and the government house."

When later asked about the likelihood of his party being featured in the national debates later this year, Mr. Hahn declined to make a prediction, although he stated that he personally believes BfZ to be far more competitive than most major outlets suggest.

Johann Schmidt.

Voice - Europa

ja5zeMW.png

The 'Voice Europa' radio has recently had the pleasure to interview the Chairman of one of the key Conservative and Centre-Right parties, Mister Tormund Mayer. Serving as leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party since 1973, Mayer has styled himself to be the face of reforms and progress within the political spectrum of Zubrowka. Firmly anti-Socialist and anti-Fascist, Mayer's statements on 'ethnic separatism' have previously made him a key enemy to many of the Hungarians and Slovenians in the land who want to seek either autonomy or full independence. Mayer is also known for his pro-European and pro-NATO stance; he stresses economic partnership over military, but states that Zubrowka cannot remain a neutral nation if it wants to be a key player within the world. Pitted against the strictest of interviewers, Hans Nikolas Arzamats, Mayer is in for a good investigative grilling.

[Please note that only the highlights of the interview have been saved within the Voice Europa archives.]

*

Mr Mayer, have you seen the recent polls? The ones that put your party at 10 percent, Third? Behind the Socialists?
*Sniffs* There are no reliable polls as of yet.

What about the Alsander Daily?
As much as I love the Alsander Daily, Mister Arzamats, their poll is unreliable and early. Am I to believe that parties like the Socialists come in first with no campaigning, while the KEP manages to somehow match me despite their, frankly, outdated policies? I'd wait a lot longer until I started trusted polls, Mister Arzamats.

Do you think a right wing victory is possible?
It's not only possible, it's ineveitable. The writing is on the wall. There's only one or two large Socialist parties, the rest are fully Communist. I do not think that any of the more mainstream Socialist Parties will be able to enter a coallition with any of the Communists. It would be like us entering coallition with some of the National Socialist remnants still lingering about.

Would you be willing to enter a coalition to rule Zubstein?
What?

Sorry, Zubrowka.
There'll be no need. *Sniffs*

Would you be willing to enter a coallition? You didn't answer the question.
I'd lead one, Mister Arzamats. *Sniffs, laughs, sniffs*.

Would you seek coalition with one of the Far-Right parties?
No, I would not. My party is one of Union; it embraces every ethnicity within this country to preserve it, unify it. The Fascist Parties are built on one ethnicity each, because that's how they try to gather the vote. They can never either rule or claim to help rule Zubrowka; by their nature they are destructive. Our party will win without them, we will win without anyone. We represent both tradition and forward progress, they represent only a callback to the days of hate. I was here when the bombs fell, Mister Arzamats, as were you. Let's not let hate triumph again. Unity is what we need, Unity and Strength.

*

Many have called your economic policy vague.
That's not a question.

Would you agree?
Would I agree that my economic policy is vague? No, I would not. Our economic policies are free and adaptive. We do not seek to impose upon our people a cruel system of central planning; we will help them, through meaningful tax reform, to achieve growth. We will grow this economy organically, so that everyone in this country has a shot at becoming an entrepreneur, a property owner. We support the farmers, the miners, the businessmen.

Have you done enough to protect workers rights?
We've done as much as is sensible. We work closely with the unions, we have great relations with the unions. *Sniffs*. We guarantee workers not only the right to safe labour, but we also guarantee them the right to employment via policies that encourage business to come here.

Could you list any specific policy?
As much as I'd love to, Mister Arzamats, I cannot. You will have to wait for our Manifesto.

Many have said that your secular policies will put you at odds with many of the countryside voters. How can you justify a policy of secularism to your Catholic audience?
We, Mister Arzamats, are United and Unyielding. The countryside voters will be behind us, as will the urban, as will be everyone else. Our policies seek to establish a brighter economic future, a close co-operation with Europe. There are many centre-right parties, but none of them mention Unity but us. We unite the people, we do not seek to divide them. Our plans for military spending reform will ensure we can sleep well at night, and our inclusive policies will unite brother with brother.

That wasn't an answer.
*Sniffs.*

*
Would you call your campaign boring? The Socialists are talking about Imperialism, others about plots to destroy this country.
I'd call it sensible. We are all grown ups at the CUP, we're not going to try and fool our fine voters with plots of treason, or of foreign imperialism. That is the rhetoric of the 1930's, Mister Arzamats, and I do not know why the other parties are relying on it. I know many teenagers do not vote in this country, maybe that's who they are trying to sway with their fiery speech of treason. Good luck to them.

Would you say trying to outlaw Asbestos is sensible?
The health benefits of doing something like that are dubious, and it would be a huge hit to our economy. Will Mister Hahn personally come around and tear down houses that have stood in this country for decades due to something concocted by some dubious scientists? I do not think so. It is an insane policy.

Can you comment on how the other campaigns of the Center-Right might impact yours?
No.

Why not?
*Sniffs.* There haven't been any campaigns.

The MNV Campaign of 1975 – Hungarian Awakening!
After the worrying rise of the Slovenian interests and socialist parties demanding social equality before the 1975 elections, Chairman Attila Horváth made them the main target of his election campaign. The regions inhabited by the Hungarian electorate were mostly rural and fervently against the socialists, and by extension the Slovenians, with whom the Hungarian population had had disputes since the days of the Habsburgs. Following excerpts are from Horváth’s speech at Papriközség.

“…It is a historical fact that this country, the country of Zubrówka our fatherland, has historically been a German country. We cannot dispute this fact; we must respect the historical reality. The Germans have for centuries been our brothers, just like they were in the Habsburg Empire, fighting hand to hand against their enemies, the Mahommetan, the Slav and the Italian. But now, look at these wretched socialists, these wretched fifth-columnists and their evil plans. The unholy alliance of socialists, Slovene secessionists and the infiltrators posing as nomads and beggars! Their whole campaign, their whole aim in these elections is to break the sacred alliance of the German and the Magyar, the social setting that has kept our country glued together for centuries, led us to prosperity and protected us from the evils of the East…”

“…Magyars! The way to resist this evil plan aimed at our downfall is simple. In fact, there is only one way. A Hungarian Awakening! By casting your ballot for the Kurultáj, you will show that the hostile attempt at falsifying the demographic make-up of Zubrówka will fail, and will not be tolerated. For decades we were content here, on our farms, in our villages, minding our own business. Did we vocally demand anything from the government? No. But now we see this ungrateful mountain folk demand some rights they supposedly are lacking. We will show them, that the Hungarian is capable of that too! We will demand cultural funding and autonomy; we will demand Hungarian schools and universities; we will demand a closer study of our history…”

“…To our German brothers, we assure, the Hungarian is an honorable friend, and we simply seek guarantees that the Slavification policies of these secessionist parties will not threaten our homes, our traditions and our way of life. No matter how unfortunate it is, all recent estimates indicate the socialists and 'Slavic interests', a code word of secessionism, parties gaining a considerable share of the national legislation. This is a direct threat. Now, some have derided us too, alleging that we are like these socialists and aim to secede from our Zubrówkan fatherland. I ask them, where? Is there a free Hungarian state? No. Nor is it likely there will be one anytime soon. Thus such allegations have nothing to do with reality. But above all, the Kurultáj has one more underlying demand: we will demand a complete ban on socialist parties. We will not allow the Slavic-socialist plague that has destroyed the motherland of our brothers to the West stain and pillage our beautiful homeland. Long live the tribes of Arpád, long live Zubrówka!”

Slovenci, glasovatimo!

A commercial is aired in Slovenian-speaking areas of Zubrowka. It features a happy Slovenian family urging Slovenian Zubrowkans to vote. It begins with a close up of a young teenage girl.

"Papa, today in civics class we learned about the vote! Mrs. Kovač said that we can vote so that the government hears us and makes the right decisions!"

(The camera turns to the father of the family who cheerily replies to his daughter.)

"Yes, that's right little Melania! Your mother and I vote so that you and your sister and brother can get a good education from a swell teacher like Mrs. Kovač!"

(The camera turns to an inquisitive teenage boy.)

"But father, which party are you supposed to vote for? There are so many!"

(The camera cuts back to the father.)

"Why I vote for the Slovenian Democratic Party! They make sure we Slovenians are heard! Without them... why, I don't know what your mother and I would do!"

(The camera turns to a smiling, well yet modestly dressed mother. She looks at her husband before turning to the teenage boy.)

"Yes, my dear! That's why it's important to vote when you grow up! It's our civic duty, you know!"

(The camera zooms in on the youngest girl who happily pipes up.)

"I know I will when I'm old enough!"

(The camera cuts out to the family laughing heartily. A logo of the SDS appears on the screen. The deep voice of a narrator can be heard.)

"As you can see here, this is where the American Imperialists and Soviet Imperialists separately deliver what they declare as an acceptable polling number. From there, the government synthesises the received data to create an acceptable polling to the deep state conspiracy in Moscow and Washington. This is why the polls are so wrong, due to the government and the capital's distinct creation of fake news, fake polling, and indeed fake people. I would not be surprised if there was an endless amount of fake voters, scores of corpses voting exactly to what is acceptable to this global conspiracy.

I know, because I have seen the documents. I have well known sources, ones within the government, that give me numerous leaks which expose the evils that reside in this false democracy. They say that the military are the ones that actually sort the votes on the day that democracy should theoretically shine, replacing and replicating fake ballots as it is needed. They're the ones that seek to place a Bible in every library, school, and home in Zubrowka. Furthermore, the government is now putting new chemicals into the water in order to alter our bodily fluids and reduce us unto a new feudalism, a neo-barbaricism under the twin Moscow-Washington alliance.

Thus, it is important to understand that continued support of myself in my investigations against this conspiracy must continue. The ZKF will be unable to win the election, because the powers at be have rigged the system in order to deny us. Much like the seek to deny others that oppose this failed world order. "

The ZBC has recently had the pleasure of interviewing the leader of the Grand Old Party, Franz Ehrling. The Grand Old Party is the direct successor of the original Conservative Party and is currently neck and neck in the polls with the other major right-wing party the Conservative Unionist Party for second place behind the People's Action Party. What follows are excerpts from the eight minute conversation between the interviewer and Mr. Ehrling.

Mr. Ehrling, first let me thank you for coming on this program this evening. My first question for you is regarding the GAP's recent campaign posters depicting country life and a call to "defend our agricultural heritage." Some members of the People's Action Party and the Conservative Unionist Party have accused your party of holding outdated views.
Well, I think it is rather telling that members of those parties see a beautiful painting by one of the most accomplished Zubrowkan artists depicting the idyllic life in our countryside as backwards. Perhaps they should come out of Alsänder for a week to spend in the farmlands. I for one was born in a village near the Austrian border and worked on a farm my entire life before serving in the war. Truly the backbone of our nation is the self-sufficient farmer. Manufacturing and new job opportunities are key to the development of our nation of course, but it would be most foolish to abandon the traditions of our nation. In fact I would be hard pressed to consider anyone proposing such things to be conservative at all.

Some people have proposed an increase in funding to public schools in order to bring their results to par with the Church run schools in this country. What is the GAP's position on the public school question?
These proposals lack any merit at all. They propose to raise taxes even higher in order to fund a massive project in already failing public schools. Certainly a school needs funds to operate but the issue in the public schools is a lack of qualified teachers and proper administration. Surely the model we see in the Church schools is to be emulated. For centuries the Catholic Church has been the best educator in all of Europe. Instead of attempting to supplant the Church and bankrupting our country in the process we should be focused on how more parents can choose the right schools for their family. To that end we are proposing a tax cut on middle class families, a small cut to the public school system, and the creation of a new voucher program to allow lower-income families to send their children to better, private schools.

Would these vouchers make the tuition free or would simply be a discount?
Well, ideally they would make tuition free for the lowest income bracket of taxation, those who pay no national income tax, and would be a discount for everyone else. Of course, this would have to be negotiated in light of the budget and with any possible coalition partners. However, I am confident that such a scheme is feasible and would greatly increase the education outcome for our students.

Moving on to the issue of the military, Mr. Mayer of the KEP has proposed a large increase in the military budget and an alignment to NATO and the United States. What is the GAP position on the military and foreign policy?
Well in principle Mr. Mayer is absolutely correct. Our military is in need of further development and strengthening in order to prevent any kind of aggression from the Warsaw Bloc or Yugoslavia. However, our deficit is an issue that cannot be ignored. Expanding the military budget drastically, along with our plans to increase the prosperity of Zubrowka, would be fiscally irresponsible for the moment. That said, we in the GAP will not allow any cuts to the current military budget as we need to maintain our current level of stability and defense. On the issue of an alignment to NATO I find this rather silly. Our nation has been neutral in this worldwide conflict since the end of the war and we have fared well for it. We are bounded on all sides by powers that are enslaved to Moscow or bound by trade and fear to Washington. It is the position of the GAP that our hereditary independence must not be compromised and that our alliances have always been with Austria, who are also not a member of NATO for their own good. Our policy of neutrality has been working for thirty years, why should we change it now?

Well that is all the time that we have on this program. Thank you for coming on here Mr. Erhling and good luck to you.
Thank you, sir, and people of Zubrowka enjoy the rest of the program.
