Brave Pilots scramble to Intercept oncoming Enclave dogs
The United News Network is proud to be the first to bring you this galaxy wide breaking news.

According to sources within the council and upper echelons of many states societies approximately 2 days ago the Council's latest star-base in the Far reaches, designed to protect against increasingly aggressive Enclave activity in the region came under attack from a sizable Enclave fleet, estimated to have been around 40 ships in size. At the time Security-General Allahdeen was present at the station for an inspection of the fleet which had recently been reinforced by 24 ships from various states of the galaxy. At this present time it is unknown whether the attack was an attempt to capitalize on the recent damage to the fleet in the earlier ambush in the very same region, during construction of the base, or an attempt to assassinate Admiral-General Allahdeen.

Luckily for our brave men on the frontier, the Security-General was not one to be caught off guard, and the approaching fleet was spotted by a patrolling gunboat, giving the men time to set a trap. We have heard that the council ships, Alpha, Bravo, Zulu, Foxtrot and Unicorn opted to serve as bait for the enemy fleet while the rest of the fleet flanked them. When the Enemy fleet arrived they fell exactly for our glorious commander's strategy rushing after the 5 ships, who where unfortunately all destroyed in the retreat, but they had succeeded in their mission, and the enemy was in range of Star-base Alpha's heavy weaponry, under the stations suppressing fighter, the Enclave fleet was no match for our superior forces who annihilated the 40 strong fleet with only 7 more light screen's being declared inoperable after battle, although most of the fleet had obtained substantial damage.

Addressing UNN directly Allahdeen explained the council was exploring options for how to respond to the escalation of warfare in the region by the Enclave, while hinting that the Enclave's larger Enlightenment Fleet had been probing the defenses of the border with Mustafar, a sign of troubling intentions and a potential spread of the conflict to the full-scale war. After some questioning from UNN, the Security-General also confirmed he was investigating if the recent terror strikes including last weeks devastating attacks against the Kingdom of Orion's transport network which left roughly a 1.5 million people dead across the entire Kingdom to see if they are linked to the hacking incident at the Council meeting or potentially the recent Enclave aggression.

This is Hope Richwell signing off for UNN, the only network bringing you the truth, since the Union's glorious founding.

(council loses 12 ships, attack repulsed, all Orion Players suffer a moderate money loss)

(Stats done when I wake up, then I will post an event)

Badr Yousef
Still licking his wounds from the previous encounter with the Orion pirate hunters, Badr calls together all those associated with him to form one great coalition of pirates in order to destroy the pirate hunter forces in the local region. before he sets off the fleet manages to number an impressive 108 ships. Waiting out by a Casmir Station the fleet quickly destroys a small convoy while allowing most to escape. Soon a fleet of 50 pirate hunters, constituting the remainder of the regions defense attempts to intercept them. However thanks to Badr's careful planning they warp into what they expected to be a fleet of at most 25 ships, only to be surrounded by over 100. In a series of quick blows the fleet is destroyed, although Badr does lose a substantial 44 ships. Luckily for him he finds 20 ships of the pirate hunters to be in various conditions capable of repairs.

(broke raises 95 ships, -95,000,000 credits, loses 44 ships, captures 20, navy max is now 84, has 84 ships raised, regular fails will count as minor successes for next two turns)

((Worth it))

At the end of every individual entry there are descriptions between brackets with the results of the orders beyond the narrative text.
My entry is lacking one.
See example below, please.

Marco Torregrossa
seeing an opportunity in the increasing unrest the galaxy is facing, Marco orders a small expansion of the arms industry hoping to profit from any conflict that does emerge in the future no matter the opinions of those around him. The program proceeds as planned, with the current lack of any significant conflict preventing any major growth in sales.
(income increase by 10%) <------ I am talking about this notes.

Maximillian Devereaux
exploiting the bast industries of his home system, Maximillian turns towards solving any possible famines in the future with the production and storage of vast stocks of processed foods. The effort initially takes a chunk out of the manufacturing sector, although new factories quickly open up to replace those switched over to food production. The plan is deemed a great success with food shortages abated for the time period and increased income flowing in through the sale of various foodstuffs.

((Fixed))

((stats come with war update - so probably tonight)

GM NOTE: War update up - its pretty short this time around | stats and event up when I wake up | Deadline is saturday - submit it any time on Saturday just get it in

((Count me out. My knee surgery is close and I will soon have a long term lack of time. Thus I am cutting back on some games and this game is the unfortunate victim of that. Sorry. ))

Excerpts from Special Committee for Expenditures, Hearing 23.a
Recordings taken by Secretary-Drone 56-290, confirmed by Secretary-Drone 12-789.

In committee: Ecclesion Minerva Theia (presiding), representing Zeugatai Yupitus. Citizen Loris Ipsum (observing), Civil Servant Altor Sorcrate (observing), Secretary-Drone 56-290 and Secretary-Drone 12-789.

In service of evidence: Peisistratos Hippson

###-- Extract begins 16:06 local time. Hearings are in third week of investigating the disastrous industrial investment program. --###

Ecclesion Theia: We have heard then why and how the Alethnian Governement sought to build a series of processing plants on off-shore platforms in the Posden Ocean. Tell us specifically about the Uranus Platform.

Peisistratos Hippson: Uranus was the largest platform, positioned closest to the undersea mines. Its purpose was mostly ore refinement, into raw materials to be shipped off for manufacture. Polysteel, crystal titanium rods, transparent aluminium, that sort of thing.

Ecclesion Theia: How much did the platform cost?

Peisistratos Hippson: (coughs, continues quieter) A little over 10,000,000,000 credits.

Ecclesion Theia: How, given your overall responsibility, can you justify the lack of waste management facilities in the plans?

Peisistratos Hippson: I assumed such things had been considered by the architects. I never imagined they had not been included. It would have been impossible for me to personally check the platform had every single convenience.

Ecclesion Theia: Sewage is not usually considered a convenience. But at what point did you realise the platform lacked a sewage system?

Peisistratos Hippson: It was two days after the opening ceremony. I was still aboard, finalising operations when the sceptic tanks became full, and it was realised they had no outflow installed.

Ecclesion Theia: What did you do at this point?

Peisistratos Hippson: We tried several options. We brought in freight carriers to bring replacement tanks, attempted to burn and chemically treat some. We installed short pipes to nearby mining sites to use their facilities. We …released some into the ocean.

Ecclesion Theia: Did you not consider the effects on the environment?

Peisistratos Hippson: There was nowhere else for it. The area was already close to several mining sites, which were already selected for minimal ecological value.

Ecclesion Theia: According to previous testimony, the area around the Uranus Platform is now a two mile dead zone, devoid of both flora and fauna. Tell us what happened next.

Peisistratos Hippson: We still were unable to keep up, and the injunction from the Environment Department disallowed any more dumping. By this time, contractors had managed to install a pipe to the shoreline. Affixing it to the sea-bed proved too expensive, so instead it was attached to buoys and floated.

Ecclesion Theia: This functioned until the now infamous events of January 11th?

Peisistratos Hippson: It did, yes. On the date in question however, there was a significant storm, and strong tides. That night, the pipe was lifted and bucked and bent. Though structural damage was limited, the result of the weather was dramatically increased pressure along the pipe. This caused backflow, and the sewage was forcibly evacuated into-

Ecclesion Theia: (nauseated) Yes, we get the picture. What happened next?

Peisistratos Hippson: We were forced to abandon Uranus platform. We have been salvaging it slowly since, but since it is clearly totally uninhabitable, this is itself costing a lot.

Ecclesion Theia: Thank you for your testimony. Based on how the Committee finds your degree of responsibility, criminality, and incompetence, you may be subject to charges, fines, punishments, or the like. You may retire from the stand.

Peisistratos Hippson: Thank you Ecclesion.

((Reminds me of the Berlin Airport.))

Bdr Yousef stood overlooking the remnants of the battle. He wore his usual garb, a custom made Mustafar special operations power armor. It had plenty of prototype accessories stolen from Orion and Federation facilities. Over it was his worn out coat which a hood that covered his face, the first thing he ever stole. He looked out from the command point of the Shah's Revenge. Outside was a plethora of shattered ships, some pirate, and more pirate hunters. He could see some of his puddle jumpers latching on to what few enemy ships were salvageable. What couldn't be fixed would be stripped for spare parts.

"Captain?" Said a crewman maning the communication terminal. "We have an incoming message."

Not moving an inch as he continued to take pride in the daring feat he had done Bdr replied "patch them through."

The message is staticy but comes in clear as a deep guttural voice comes through. "Bdr? BDR! YOU THERE YOU UGLY BASTARD!?" The captain sighed as he knew which of his temporary allies this was.

"I am here Nuuradiin. What do you want?"

"GOOD! I AM MAKING CERTAIN YOU UPHOLD YOUR END OF THE BARGAIN I LOST A GOOD BIT OF SHIPS DOING THIS!" Came the overly loud response.

Calmly Bdr answered. "The money is being transferred into one of your secure accounts as we speak Nuuradiin, anything else?"

"NO SO LONG I HAVE WHORING TO DO NOW!" At that the transmission ended in a series of staticy noises.

"Out of all the other pirate lords I hate him the third most." Bdr muttered. Thinking to himself Bdr hoped this would please Ayoola, the master of Vesta Stationem. After all he is quite famous and has the respect of many of the other pirates. Being in his good graces would not hurt. Removing the pirate hunters opens up the smuggling lanes like never before, which can be far more lucrative and safer than attacking ships. Bdr won't participate in much smuggling though he wants fame, and there is no such thing as a famous smuggler.

Although I hate to do it I am afraid I'm going to have to declare this game over, I just don't have the time that I thought I would to give this the attention it deserves, and I don't feel thats fair to you the players. I would like to thank everyone who did join for doing so, I couldn't have got this far without you guys. In a few months I may revisit and reboot this game and I will give a reward to any player who returns in the reboot, but for now, your GM signing off.
