A message from Tywin Lannister, Head of the Regency Council, Hand of the King, Warden of the West, Shield of Lannisport and Lord of Casterly Rock in the name of King Joffery of House Baratheon and Lannister, First of his Name

As Regent for King Joffery, I allow the Master of Coin, Lord Baelish, to travel to the Eyrie with a modest attachment of the King's men in order to solidify the situation in the Vale.

The sun was shining bright, it was a beautiful day which felt like it could continue for another week and none would be the wiser. Willas was standing in the gardens, he was wearing green with golden roses on his shirt, he wore a green cloak over his left shoulder and down over his arm covering it down to the middle of the thigh. Under it you could see a his cane that he used to support himself ever since the accident in the joust against Oberyn Martell, on his right hand he had a leather glove, on it sat a hawk ready to fly at command. He walked through the gardens, enjoying the quiet before the coming storm that would surely soon engulf the Kingdoms.

Willas still had to decide who he favored in the war, that his father had married his sister to Renly was a subject that he was neutral on. He knew that Renly and Loras was very close, and he knew of his younger brother’s sexual preference, ever since he knew about the wedding he had spent a lot of time thinking about that. It wasn’t something which had bothered him before, but now that his sister was married to Renly, he wondered if she would be happy with him and how she would feel to be his Queen. It was something that had worried him a great deal as of late, would she just become a Queen like Cersei, a Queen that sat aside while her husband spent time with other women, or men in Renly’s case. A part of him felt bad for Cersei for what Robert had done to her but it was nothing that he could control, now they all claim that Joffrey isn’t the rightful King, he had wondered if they were speaking truth or just being greedy for a throne that was not rightfully theirs. Or where they perhaps speaking the truth that he was in fact a bastard, Willas had yet to see any proof that this was the case, yet his sister had been married to Renly who we now supported in the war for the throne. But his father must have seen the proof, otherwise he surely woudnt have married his daughter to Renly, or was it true that it was simply as his grandmother said “The thought that one day he might see his grandson with his arse on the Iron Throne makes Mace puff up” Could that be the actual reason that we are supporting Renly.

If this was the case with his father, He wondered if it would be sensible to throw themselves in with Renly, surely Loras spoke well of him but is anything else to be expected if it is as I think it is. But considering the relationship between Robert and Cersei, is it that unlikely that someone other than him fathered her children, from all Willas have read about Robert then he was a less than ideal husband to her, but he was their king for better or worse and for the better part of his reign the peace was kept. It was a nice change from back in the days of the mad King, Willas have a few vague memories from back then and of Prince Rhaegar, the last Dragon. But even still, for all of Roberts faults, to sleep with her own brother seemed far off, but is it actually that far, the Targaryen did it for hundreds of years.

But even with all of this, there was one thing that Willas still could not make sense of, why would they support Renly. If the claims against Joffrey where true then surely the throne would belong to Stannis, Willas could not argue that they were in the right by supporting Renly in this war, not only where they breaking the peace, sending thousands of young men to die for a cold chair in an empty throne room. They were also breaking the law of succession, Garlan nor Loras could ever be Lord of Highgarden and the Reach before himself, so neither could Renly be King before Stannis.

Willas moved his hand up slightly and the hawk flew off and into the air, he stood and looked at it for some time, it flew back and forward for a bit before it saw a smaller pigeon sitting on a roof, it flew down in quick speed and quickly made its kill before starting to eat it, leaving Willas with just one question left.

Who would be the hawk and who would be the pigeon?
