The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like to express it's distaste for the United States of America in taking such a rash action. In accordance to Policy of His Majesty's Government, we are hereby breaking Diplomatic Communications with the United States of America under further notice. Our Ambassador in Washington, D.C. has been recalled to York, British North America, and the American Ambassador in London has been given time to exit the country.

His Majesty's Government would like to use this as an opportunity to invite the United Mexican States to establish formal Diplomatic Relations in London.

I kindly ask the government of King William IV to reconsider the position he has taken on this event. The Texans have striven for freedom from the oppression they faced under the Mexican regime, which you have begun to establish formal diplomatic relations with and against whom you even chastised for their treatment of the Texans. The Texans have chosen to become a part of the United States by the majority, and we have obliged them, offering them liberty and freedom as citizens of the United States. We would also like to remind not just the United Kingdom but the nations of all the world of the Monroe Doctrine, a document which the British government advocated for not too long before today, barring interference of European powers - primarily colonization and annexation - in terms of the lands in the American continents expressly without the consent of those being brought under the rule of the colonizers and that, should a European power ignore such a statement, the United States must become involved.

I also ask the Mexican 'President' to at last see reason and relinquish his claims on the land and people which he oppressed so. War is not what I or the nation wishes for, but if you refuse peace for your nation and for those in the United States, and wish to continue pressing your will upon the now Free People of Texas, then so be it.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland is willing to reconsider its stance with the United States Government. One of our long-term goals was to enact the abolishment of slavery in the Republic of Texas, seeing as that we will recognize the United States as having full sovereign control over it. We ask the United States to take the path that the British have recently set forward, and work to abolish Slavery in its territories, starting with the Republic of Texas. You have claimed to save the Texans from the oppression of the Mexicans. Will you now do the same for the people under oppression from the Texans?

As an offer of good will, the United Kingdom announces that it is establishing the British Anti-Slavery Society, and we are, at this time, inviting William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips to join this new organization, in helping to run and operate the North American Branch of this Society.

The Kingdom of Prussia condemns the King of the Two Sicilies, his illegal assumption of the Italian crown, and the reckless aggression he has directed toward the other Italian states. While Prussia is prepared to support Italian unification through peaceful means, we will not accept the Sicilian King's outlaw behavior any longer. The Kingdom of Prussia hereby suspends all diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Should the Sicilian Army violate the sovereignty of another Italian state and in so doing disrupt the peace of Europe, Prussia will be forced to take all appropriate measures to end the conflict. The balance of power must be maintained.

The United States of America was founded due to British oppression and unfair taxation - abuses by the government of the period - and we shall not take kindly to thinly-veiled attempts to spread dissension in this nation. The United States of America does not openly call for Irish or Scottish independence, universal suffrage for all in Britain, or for the release of African and Indian peoples to form their own governments outside the influence of the British King. This great nation is not going to be cowed by a monarch ruling an island on the other side of the Atlantic which has no business with the affairs of the United States, domestic or foreign, especially when said business is tied to the Monroe Doctrine and the universally acknowledged independence, sovereignty, and self-government of the United States. The United Kingdom should not be meddling in American affairs, just as America does not meddle in British policies, domestic and foreign.

It is safe to say that I shall not be revoking my acceptance of the Texan request for annexation by the United States, and that the Republic of Texas shall receive full statehood as a member of the United States.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like to point out to the United States of America that we are not advocating for the separation of people from their country, as they have just implied about us, we do not wish for the United States to splinter into different nations, such as is technically possible for the United Kingdom to do so.

I would like to stress that while the United Kingdom did exercise colonial control over the United States of America at one point, we have since changed in our ways, and have recently abolished Slavery in the Empire, and have committed our vast resources to do so. How can the Land of Liberty, and if claimed by the United States President, better than the British Empire in their words, then why do you hold men and women in Chains?

While we will not claim control over any part of the Domestic Policy of the United States, we would like to address the issue of the Monroe Doctrine, in which we have agreed not to pursue any further colonial claims upon Independent American Nations, which we will uphold. However, Slavery is an issue in which the Empire is committing to fixing, and we wonder why a nation that has only recently abolished the Slave Trade, refuses to acknowledge, or even work with, British efforts to stop the Slave Trade.

While the United States can try to deflect the issues I have raised, they are a nation, that claims to love Liberty, Independence, and Freedom from Oppression, yet they still hold thousands of people in Chains, doomed to a life of servitude. If these people truly believed in the reason of which they have rebelled from the United Kingdom in the first place, then they would have abolished Slavery upon their foundation, and we are deeply concerned that they have not. While we will not try to force changes in the Policy of the United States, we would like to point it out to the world, and for all those to see, the Oppression they submit to people, and the Oppression they claim to liberate people from. What is the difference between a Texan being oppressed by a Mexican and a Slave being oppressed by an American?

I believe, Your Majesty, that you have misquoted me, or have attributed to me words that I have never spoken. I have never claimed that the nation of the United States was in any way "better", as you claim I stated, than the United Kingdom. This puts unto me and the United States a false identity of arrogance and superiority, an identity which is falsely attributed to myself and my fellow American citizens.

As said in my previous statement, I acknowledged the change of government and beliefs of the United Kingdom over these past several decades since the American Revolution; it is plain and clear that Your Majesty and the British Parliament are much different in word and in action than your predecessors.

In regards to the "oppression that we submit upon people", and the so-called "failure to outlaw slavery", I, as President, cannot directly pen and sign into law am amendment to the American Constitution officially and effectively, without opposition on the Federal and Local level, outlawing slavery. It is around the institution of slavery itself that the lives of Americans revolves, which they utilize to help in their work in picking cotton, working on farms and plantations, which they then use to sell for currency to support themselves and their families within the American market. Outlawing the institution of slavery within the United States would be no easy task for a President, as well as a man of my stature, as opposition in several regions would be too great to be able to legally make it a part of the law of the land. The nation of which I am President is a democracy, and I cannot simply push reforms through without opposition as if I were an absolute monarch among the likes of Joseph II or Napoleon Bonaparte.

In regards to Misters Arthur Murrows and Reginald Curthwright, I can assure you that I, nor the British King, lack any intentions at all to commit against one another soldiers and ships in a state of warfare. It is planned for the United States to continue trading with the United Kingdom far into the future, helping both our economies grow and increase in power and influence, but we would never again come to blows against one another.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like to point out that while we know and understand that you can not outlaw slavery by yourself, as your land is governed by a rule of law, not a rule of a Tyrant, of which we respect, but we also know that while you are a nation governed by a Rule of Law, and when you have seceded from the United Kingdom, you made it emphatically clear that, and we take this directly from the text of your Declaration of Independence;

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

So tell me, why is it not the Policy of your Government to work within the confines of the system you have now to lessen the economic blow to your economy from this? Why are you also aiding in the expansion of slavery by creating more states where Slavery is allowed? Why are you not taking a stand, to provide equal rights to all men, to stop a system that is unjust? Why have you taken the very document used to justify separation from us, and ignored it during Independence?

Seeking inspiration from Yuan Shizu, rather than Zhu Youjian, the Emperor of the Great Qing opened many of the notable ports to the use of his honourable subservient, the King of the English. This was merely the first step, however, on the path to prosperity.

The Emperor of the Great Qing is pleased to announce to the world the Imperial Economic Congress on China, to be held in the fourth month of the eighteenth year of Daoguang in the city of Jiangning. We extend summons to representatives of all the peripheral states to attend this great summit on the financial future of the Empire of the Great Qing. All in attendance shall be rewarded with access to the infinite markets of our domain and the establishment of full diplomatic relations, the better to coordinate trade between the Great Qing and those overseas nations. As an announcement and reminder, last turns winners were: Europe: Austria and for the rest of the world: China; these nations will receive a +1 modifier to rolls this turn.

The reward system for best IC will continue for every turn, with the caveat that no nation can win twice in a row (to prevent others from getting discouraged).

OOC: Ah I see, so in other words, you decided to just ignore the deadline you had set and go ahead anyway, without informing me of the decision and therefore making it a near certainty that I wouldn't send in orders that turn. Good to know.
 
The Kingdom of Bavaria is shocked at this development in the Kingdom of Greece, removing the legal King of Greece. We also like to ask them why they have created the Title King of the Hellenes instead of King of Greece.
We also condemn the Actions taken by the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and if they should continue to demand the return of righteously German-Inhabited and German-Owned lands such as the South of Tyrol, we will stand with the Austrian Empire in defending these lands.
 
The Federal Republic of Central America holds no comment on the predicament going on in the Italian peninsula at this time.

The United Mexican States demand that the USA revokes there annexation of Texas. You have annexed land that does not belong to the nation your annexing it off. We will enter Texas without care for your flags. We will pull them down and replace them with the rightful Mexican flag. We have not recognised the Texan occupation and Texas and will not recognise the American occupation of Texas. Everything has now become clear. The bandit regime was orchestrated by this new American president to achieve a fait accompli to illegally spread there control into territory control by other nations. We will not stand for this direct insult. USSNA you must withdraw from Texas or we will be prepared to fight.
 
Treaty of Torino

The signees of this treaty agree to a formal defensive alliance aimed against the Kingdom of Two Sicilies.
This alliance will last until such a time as the Sicilian threat is over.

This alliance is void if:
Sardinia-Piedmont tries to annex other Italian states by force.
Sardinia-Piedmont attacks Austria.
Sardinia-Piedmont attempts to destroy the peace in the Italian peninsula
Austria attacks Sardinia-Piedmont.
Both signees together come to a mutual agreement and issue collective statements to that effect.
