Soon Dawned the Fifth Day
fantasy-ancient-army-free-desktop-wallpaper-2560x1600.jpg

1) Mikkel Glahder - Chakra is the essence of all life, the manifestation of Melosiac's power. All beings have it in one form or another, and with proper training may even shape it. Hasiramo is one such being who walks the lands of Alakiva protecting the trees so that they might grow mightier warping them into shelter for our people, and passed this secret down unto us. We named this Hasiramo Jannu which means friend. He protects us further with the Drogyuuy a wooden dragon that restrains all things physical and other. Next is Kanno which means foundation, this one wields the rocks and ensures we are well grounded. His pet is the Oldop a great monster that walks on four legs with five tails. Four horns and a can spurn fire and water. Jannu holds the black half moon and Kanno its opposite. They both serve us but are forever in conflict for it is their nature. (+3 power). As these beings helped us the black knight lead his wild hunt deeper into heathen lands and procured more to join us. (+196 worshippers).

2) Brovahkiin - Io grew cold for while the Ionian desert was warm in daytime it was frigid at night. To escape the cold he blew fire into the rocks underneath his volcanic home and crafted a large tunnel network. (+1 power). After he slept for the night in warmth he ordered that the his draconic blessing be sent out again. Many died in the transformation as always but soon more dragonmen came to follow his path. (+300 worshippers).

3) Galren - Votyx shifted through the heavens after the loss and reclamation of the Galrenic peoples. They had suffered much but he lead them through the ash desert of Ionia, far away from the realm of the Tharingians. They arrived at a city state. There the people where governed by a despot they named tyrant. Yet for his power he was but a power for his soothsayer advisor. Votyx with the help of all his assets went to the advisor and completed his nine great tasks. After which the advisor could no longer deny the power of Votyx and spread word that a god was among them. The Galrenics took the outskirts of the city becoming the rural population, for they knew much more of agrarian life and defending themselves without walls. The city state of Prago's people remained behind their walls converting to the will of their state's new god. (+1672 worshippers).
fantasy-warrior-weapon-army-armor-sword-arms-shield.jpg
4) Deaghaidh - Still vengeful Dana withdrew her blessings from the world, the nine springs no longer ran down to form the lake of life. They dried and all civilizations that formed around the nine rivers died out with the great drought. (+18 power). The daughters of Dana kept their vigil though and formed barriers of protection around the springs so that when the day of judgment came they could unleash their waters onto the world, flooding it. (immune to attack from other gods for one turn).

5) BlackBishop - Angered by the vainglory of the 'Unconquered Sun" the Dark One went out to taint the light's power. He reached out into the sky and moved the moon over the sun so that a great shadow would cover the land. He looked upon the terror this caused the champions of the sun and named this phenomenon an Eclipse. Whenever he feels the sun has shown too much he will enact this and spread his influence when people wrongly think they are safe from his shadow. - Tome of Wickedness (+10 power, Viola loses 10 power)

6) Viola - After the vile eclipse the Champions of the Sun went out into the world and began their quest to convert others as always. They went to bring light to the northern tribes and soon both the Sanian, Uswosa, Cetanic, Weyastanii, and even the city state of Asaucrium had joined the Unconquered Empire. They had done this by saying that the eclipse was an act of their god an omen that to fight against his champions would be futile, for he had done so before, and they performed the greatest miracle of all, victory in battle. (+2000 worshippers). After the setback from the first contact war with the Alakivans the Unconquered Sun went to create a new creature to support his legions. He named them after their arch angel Malachi, these fire angels called the Malacs live upon the surface of the sun. They are far weaker than seraphim but may be summoned with a simple fire and a truly pious heart. They were instrumental in the conquest of the northern tribes who had banded together to fight the Unconquered Empire. (+4 power).

We're getting there folks just two more turns. I'd like to thank you all for sticking with this so long where others have left to play the other games in the forum. Keep up the awesomeness that's going on. Also once this game ends I'll be starting a new game which will be more long term and have different mechanics but I'm starting to think these Deicide games should be kept in my bag of tricks for future minis. Let me know what you think of that.

By the Sixth Day
438192_art_zamok_xram_atlantida_noch_luna_1920x1200_(www.GdeFon.ru).jpg

1) Brovahkiin - Io was experiencing a golden age but men of the west had begun a tradition of dragon hunting, stalking the grand desert of Ionia. Angered by the murder of his subjects the Ninefold Dragon. To halt these incursions he gave breath to his subjects. The dragons and dragon-men could now breath fire, frost, poison, gale force winds, and other magical powers. (+4 power). This allowed the hunters to be scared off initially but they would continue to return so a new tactic was taken. Io ordered his armies of dragonmen and dragons to leave the desert and strike out at these men, the men who worshipped god of order Kirkun. They considered dragons to be chaotic and were proven right, Kirkun becoming weaker than ever before. (+13 power, -13 power Noco19). Due to war there were few hatchlings this year (+78 Worshippers).

2) Mikkel Glahder - Danukio, stability, that is the name of him. A powerful Alakivan man, who spoke to Melosiac directly. He was the one who brought the two powers of Jannu and Kanno together and prevented their eternal conflict from killing the world. He uses all of his time to do this and so created a beast to do his bidding. Kandjano, a gigantic wolf whose fur was pure gold, and has seven tails. It mends the wind and fire as if they were the same. Jannu and Kannu both love this canine and will work toward common goals for its sake. (+15 power). Working together under the advise of Danukio the twin moons sent their power to the eastern lands. They promised riches and power to the petty kingdoms. All who did not bind where smited by immolation and their holding laid low by earthquakes. But they were of stubborn hearts and nearly known joined, yet they shall still stand as a testimont to the will of Melosiac and what happens to those who dare reject his gifts. (+43 worshippers).

3) Galren - The Solia-Galrenic built a massive temple. Its veneer was of obsidian with gold inlays all around in mystical patterns. At the peak of the temple was the eye of a small astral storm; a vortex of magical power that swirled above their god's house. There were many levels and buildings in the complex. Most notable - besides the main shrine room - was the observatory which allowed anyone to view the stars through the great glass. In the center of the complex was a series of columns with carvings indicating month, times, holidays, and other dating on them. This item could be used to map the travel of the sun, moon, heavenly bodies, and the world's position in the galaxy as they all traveled around the world.(+23 power).

4) Viola - The Unconquered Sun felt the light dim, an omen of great struggles to come. He sent out his mortal armies. It became known as the great purge, the attempt was forced conversion of the populaces of neighboring lands. Like the sun the world around the borders of the Unconquered Empire burned bright, but none joined them. The hearts of others seemed to have turned stubborn, but it did not matter for there was nothing left but ashes of those who wouldn't join. (+80 worshippers). In anger the angels of the Sun were sent out to scorch the lands of those the armies did not touch. Drought and famine plagued many realms and soon the Unconquered Empire stood without any enemies and an empty frontier to expand into, unchallenged. (+10 power)

As you can all see update is up. I'll accept orders until midnight today (4/4/2015) but not beyond that. Next turn will be the final one. I suggest whatever orders you send be about increasing your power, who are your allies, or doing a pre-emptive strike on a rival because right after that update I'll start rolling to see which god one the war.

Remember final orders due Saturday after update I'll calculate the winners and make a final post for that :)

(do we need to form alliances in pms/orders or could we do them publicly on the thread?)

either or Brovakhkiin. Once I see it I'll put it in orders so I won't forget once I roll for who wins. Also I probably won't roll polytheistic gods against each other unless they state in orders they want to fight another polytheistic or they are of a different alliance.

On the Final Day
304456.jpg
1) Viola - The Unconquered Sun stood looking out on the empire of his followers. He could sense what all gods could sense that a final confrontation was at hand. Whoever could win this battle would be the uncontested ruler(s) of the universe. His legions needed to be stronger so he plucked a feather from a bird of prey. Into that feather he breathed life and in flames it burned to ash, out of that ash rose a fire bird named phoenix. (+4 power). With his phoenix's, seraphim, his champions of the sun, and their summoned malac he went out unto the world to scorch the earth. The devastation previously visited upon the empire's enemies was only a prelude to the true 'Great Purge'. (+17 power). (+26 worshippers).

2) Brovahkiin - Io the Nine Fold Dragon kept up his work of expanding the subterranean domain of Mt. Draco. As he expanded upon these volcanic tunnels his dragonmen followers carved and sculpted the walls so that they could live within and a defend the tunnel networks. (+5 power). A second set of tunnels had been made as well and these lead the lava flows of the fiery mountain out onto the surface of the Ionian desert. Now rivers of lava flowed freeling across the ash desert. His land was inhospitable to all not of his molten blood. (+7 power). (+97 worshippers).

3) Mikkel Glahder - Melsoica opened portals across the globe and through which he sent his armies to strike at the world quickly. These were tests for future attacks on his enemies, though he could not open them up close to the seats of power that other gods sat at his armies could still traverse thousands of miles in a day and flee before retaliation. (+2 power). In the far flung north a portal opened and the black knight came forth leading the wild hunt with unstoppable force they converted all they could find. (+836 worshippers).

4) Galren - In the great temple the god of fate and portents crafted his sword. The celestial bodies aligned and the astral energy nexus the temple sat upon surged with power. Astra rose into the air as the priests, lead by the prophet Cassandra, fed their own astral powers into it, molding the sword's power. In a huge shockwave of blue and purple lights the crowd flew back onto the ground, and the temple walls nearly collapsed. Votyx thanked his loyal followers and took his sword. They did not see his true form but he lightly slid the blade across the palm of his hand, and blood came forth. He had done it, he had made a weapon that could kill a god. With this he showed his weapon to the long neutral gods Danabel and Absalia, and they agreed to join his pantheon. The battle would soon commence. (+30 power). (+47 worshippers).

Send orders in now if you haven't yet.

(well then anyone want an alliance?)

(well then anyone want an alliance?)

I'll allow you to claim some of those inactive polytheistic players like Galren did or even join up with galren for this battle and roll at end to see which of you ends up being leader of pantheon.

(let's go with team up with galren)

The apocalypse is upon us I will roll Sunday who wins and probably give you little bits and pieces to tantalize your curiosity as I go along. As you can see some factions have formed up. The polytheist have formed up into factions and the monotheists have prepped them selves fro war. The souls of their faithful have been converted into power, may it be enough to tip the balance of battle in their favor. Who will win the battle for the world? And will there be enough of a world left over to rule?

Apocalypse Part 1: The Beginning

1600x1263_13053_Battle_for_valley_2d_fantasy_concept_art_war_warriors_battle_picture_image_digital_art.jpg

Weep now for peaceful Aruk Hajag Ase Aham Ngay. He who wondered the wastes offering shelter to all so long as they did not feast of flesh as the carrions did. Oh to such woes for the peaceful giant's paradise, laid upon his back, was soon scorched. Birds of flame flew down into the forest and conflagration followed soot. Aham winced at the cries of the animals as they yelped in anguish. He turned at the beasts but they were as hornets. Too fast to hit, yet constantly stinging. Then came the ants mortals who clambered around his feet, he stomped and pummeled them, dazed and confused. Winged men flew out from the blinding light of the sun with lances and impaled the giant's chest. His blood fell to the ground and vegetation sprout forth. Sun the king of these pests cam and slashed the back of Aham's legs, causing him to stumble. With a mighty force the Unconquered Sun grabbed the sun's rays and flung them down like javelins. Piercing the peaceful giant, and pining it to the ground. Aham let out a great roar; whose gale force flung the aggressor unto his back. As the rocky Natu fought desperately against the superior foe to protect thier master, the champions of light sent the Malacs forth to blind the giant by spitting fire into its eye whilst the javelins of their deity kept Aham's hands pined to the earth. With great determination the Unconquered Sun jumped back to his feet and wielded the sun as a mace and smashed it down on the giant's head. Again and again he did so until the sun was reddened by the beast's blood. Aruk the Peaceful now lay comatose, for the sun could not kill a deity. The giant's blood flowed like a river and all it touched turned to jungle, and its body became that of a small mountain range with five peaks; Aruk, Hajag, Ase, Aham, and Ngay.

On the edges of the Tufto plains, where the steppes meat the black forest, the Naxhi people surged forth against the Altaic warlords who dared attack them. For many bloody years they struggled against one another. Time and time again the warlords could not gain victory past the forest walls, for their equine skills were useless within that realm. Neither though could the Naxhi defeat the horsemen outside their own realm, for they were too accustomed to fighting in the narrow game trails of the black forest. Angered by this failure to defeat the 'lesser people' the Sky Khan touched down on the field of battle and possessed his most faithful follower. In this avatar he struck out and killed many of the Naxhi. Medžiotojas saw this interference and touched down to the earth and killed his avatar with a single shot. Enraged the Sky Khan summoned all the might of the wind he could and let loose a terrible storm upon the battlefield, blotting out the red stained sun for a time. Medžiotojas simply fired unhindered, killing the warlords with quick precision. Soon she ordered her people to sally forth out of the woods and kill the leaderless nomads. Repeatedly the Sky Kahn would possess a warrior and his avatar would cause great devastation only to be killed quickly by the goddess of the hunt. By the time the battle of the edge was finished the Sky Khan was left without any followers, all of his work laid ruined, himself too weakened to ever rise again.

The Uncounquered marched on incinerating all that would not follow his will, but soon a series of portals opened around his forces and beings of Melsoiac poured forth, followed by armies of zealots. First to come were four armed creatures of varying colors who charged forth with rock like skin. They slammed into the flanks of the Empire's heavy cavalry and its riders fought viciously against the monstrosities. Champions of the Sun summoned the angels of Malaci whose fiery wings lashed at the hordes of Melsoiac. In the sky a black knight leading forsaken fanequesti went to charge down and strike at the imperial archers but were soon halted by a wave of seraphim. As the armies of the beings fought on the Uncounquered sun was caught in a battle against the Phatoiraw; seven protectors of the Alakivans. The battle tilted back and forth for many long weeks as the armies fought each other. Soon though the Alakivans had to retreat back through their portals to regroup as five of the seven Phatoiraw lay dead upon the ground before a tired Unconquered Sun, and among these casualties was the Archangel Malachi, whose existence allowed the champions of the sun to summon the lesser seraphim known as malacs to battle. The Sun swore though that he would avenge this attack seven fold for that was the number of completion, and he wished to completely destroy the Alakiva.

The final hour had finally told and Dana was more than ready to exact her final vengeance on those who had wronged her. First to fall would be the Dark One, the perverted one that twisted her favored child Nana. As the dark one eclipsed the red sun to spread his influence Dana set forth her plagued rain to slaughter his followers. As they writhed in immense pain his shapeless form twisted and turned in the ecliptic light of as he swarmed toward her. Dana's nine daughters went forth and let loose the nine springs once again and their water rushed down into their old run-offs in a cataclysmic flood. With glee the dark one laughed as the waters filled the basin from whence they once met. So long ago when Dana was known as the life giver and as the mother of life, before her followers where stripped from her. With the waters of the nine springs unleashed she flung the force into the Dark One again and again, soon all his followers were drowned, but he did not care. He only wanted chaos and darkness, this made him happy. As Dana stood above the battered deity he shot a tendril of shadow into her, and the rain stopped. "I truly am greater for I drove the great life giver to madness." He cackled his victory and watched as Dana's form sank into a puddle that spread out filling the basin which we now call the Danaian Sea.

As the monotheists battled amongst themselves the polytheistic gods formed into two pantheons. Votyx made a deal with Io the Ninefold dragon, Absalia mother of storms, and Danabel the Ancient. They would rule the world with Votyx in charge of fate, Io fire, Absalia weather, and Danabel earth. Their armies clashed against the mad pantheon of K'Thang K'thang. In it was the mad god and his legion of shapeless men who had wronged many of the Galrenic pantheon. The others were the trickster Anteor and Euskal the embodiment of heroism. In the forge of Anteor the Thangians crafted mighty weapons and suits of armor for their fight, while the Galrenics tempered the sword Astra. The horned men of Thangia charged forth riding their elks against their ancient enemies the Galrenics. They soon though found themselves caught in a pincer attack by the Dragon men of Ionia, the Gillmen of the sea, and the Armnosers of Danabel leading the charge. As the men of Thangia began to falter the followers of Euskal came, all great and mighty heroes, veterans of a thousand battles. They lunged into the fray killing many, with the monsters Euskal created as a means to test their mettle attacking the rear of the Galrenics. The people of castle Underwood, those of Anteor, caused the greatest damage their attacks were near impossible to predict on the field always striking, then feinting, and with weapons made at the great forge to accent their skill. As their armies clashed the gods fought one another. Absalia and Danabel sent rock and storm against Euskal who held off all their attacks. Io sent his dragons against Anteor, but the trickster disguised himself as them and they as him so soon the dragons legions of Ionian began to tear each other apart and their fiery blood rained down and boiled the soldiers below. K'thang K'thang went up against Votyx who wielded the sword Astra. K'thang did not understand what was going on but fought wildly against his old enemy. As the pantheons and their followers struggled Votyx barely managed to get an upper hand on the crazed deity and impaled him with Astra. The mad god's eyes widened and he fell limp, his body fell to the earth as the other deities looked on in disbelief. K'thang hit the ground and exploded into an array of other animals who scattered off in all directions. Anteor disguised himself as one of the animals and retreated with his armies, while Euskal never fearing a fight continued. With all of the pantheon against him he was soon defeated and imprisoned to until he willingly joined them, and Anteor would be given this option as well.

Medžiotojas was euphoric after her victory against the Sky Kahn, she had proven her people superior. The great hunters though soon fond themselves fighting against a different foe as night fell a madness took hold of them. The moon became eclipsed by a shadow and from is horrors previously unknown fell upon the black forest and its denizens the Nacxhi. What mad matters worse is the beasts did not simply kill people but kidnapped them to their realm of Horrors. The huntress grabbed her rifle and went out to kill these monsters, she hunted well but there were too many. As she fought off these beast she herd the cry of a pained animal. When she turned to look the head of her prized white stag was at her feet. Across the clearing was a ever-changing black void. This being of evil attacked her but was not the first formless god she had ever faced. She fought well using an eternity of practice to its fullest but nothing she did could harm the empty mass of shadows. Soon she was encased in the darkness and taken back to the realm of horrors just like her followers.

On the other side of the world at the Mesloiac mountain range the armies of the Unconquered Empire stood ready to receive their revenge. The red stained sun beat down on them as they climbed, and the wookrox, harassed them every step of the way with only the seraphim able to thwart their assaults. Soon they reached the valley of Alakiva and by the might of the Unconquered Sun set it to the torch. Their armies flew into a rage fighting one another. The last of the Phatoiraw went forth and struck out against the Seraphims and plucked the wings right off the angelic beings, so that imperial soldiers could watch in horror as their protectors plummeted to their demise. The forsaken fanequesti where soon in the fray but harassed by a massive flock of Phoenixes who suicidally dove into them and as they died they did so in great plums of flame. The phoenixes then rebirthed and flew off to safety, man though were shot down by the mortal archers of Alakiva. In the battle Danukio summoned the aid of Jannu and Kanno as night began to fall. They both held half the moon in their hands but tonight the halves were joined into a full moon. They set forth rock and fire against the armies of the Sun. Its champions fought on fiercely leading the mortals against those of Melsoiac. These champions managed to kill the great fox Kandjano who died with dignity. Jannu and Kanno loved Kandjano and in wild grief smote many a sun champion that night. Their fury terra formed the valley as fire and rock combined into a magma flow which began to engulf all, Danukio did all he could to prevent the two beings from destroying their allies. That is Until the Unconquered Sun grabbed a piece of morning light and flung it into Danukio killing him instantly. At this the magma raged until the moon finished falling below the horizon. With the full power of the sun back at his disposal the Unconquered Sun began to launch a storm of his light spears down into the Alakivan army. The three remaining Phatioraw could not reach him so sacrificed themselves by taking the bulk of the damage, staying loyal to their mission to protect the followers of Melsoiac. The forsaken fanequesti fled into the metro to continue protecting their god as the Sun scorched the once paradise above. As the mortals of the Alakiva died Melsoiac took his guise of the Black Night and rallied his forsaken and started what would be the last and greatest of the wild hunts, so much so that its tale would survive for as long as men could speak. As the army of the Sun began to march into the metro the wild hunt sallied forth overtaking many of them, and the great northern lights that often harkened their call shown in the red tinted day. The wild hunt massacred many of the empire but its main goal was its leader, its god. As they began to lose momentum in their charge and became fully surrounded the Unconquered Sun came down and crossed blades with the black knight (Melsoiac). Their fight was fierce but soon the sun spear of pierced the side of the knight. As the knight's armor began to collapse so too did the tunnels of the metro and as the valley began to crumble underneath the army of the Empire, it fled in desperation barely surviving with half its forces. Melsoiac had been thwarted his worshippers enslaved, his beings dead, his land ruined, and his precious metro collapsed in around him.

Though he knew ahead of time that a great deity would be defeated he knew not which of them. He felt it though when it occurred as did the others of his pantheon but soon they were busy fighting the Dark One, an amalgamation of shadows and hate. His monsters were no match though for Euskal and his hero army, especially with the Armnosers of Danabel practically walking over them. Absalia with the clever instructions of Anteor congered a mighty thunderstorm so that the light of the lightning would counteract the encompassing darkness of the eclipse. As this happened Votyx had Cassandra lead his worshippers in a ritual to keep the portal to the realm of horrors open with the astral energies he gifted his people. In an exercise of futility the Dark One hovered at the opening of the portal trying to close it occasionally shooting out tendrils and spikes or malice at them. As he continued his futile task Io the Ninefold Dragon moved right in front of the cruel deity and breathed a mighty breath of fire that engulfed the Dark One. No matter how hard he tried the fire clung like a second skin. The light of the flames burned away the darkness and shadows the Dark One needed to stay corporeal and soon he fell back into his portal screaming in immense pain. Io breathed another mighty breath into the realm of horrors so that his fire would remain to forever burn away at the malevolent deity in eternal torment.

Apocalypse Part 3: The End
313952.jpg

Victorious the Unconquered Sun stood at his capital all of his foes and greatest enemies had been vanquished, for there was no single deity that could stand up to him now. As he looked out into the red stained sun and smiled as it was a constant reminder of the victory he won. His musings were interrupted though by a great disturbance as the city's bells rung out. Rising into the air he gazed out and saw a massive army. He ordered the Seraphim to fly out with the phoenixes at their flanks to harass the enemy until the champions of the sun and mortal army could rally. The angels and fire birds nearly blotted out the sky as they flew over the fields in between the city walls and the besiegers. A titanic battle soon ensued.

A swirling storm swirled over the army of men and monsters though no water or thunder came from it. As the Seraphim dove down into the men dragons fell out of the cloud and attacked the phoenixes. An aerial inferno of dragon versus firebird ensued, the smoke of their burning flesh rising into the swirling clouds overhead, feeding its ominous presence. The seraphim dove down and with their angelic power fought against combined Galrenic, Underwood, and Ionian armies. The dragonmen and their breath proving and effective means to keep the seraphim at bay as the humans lost twelve for every one angel.

As the imperial army formed in the center of the city before marching out the ground began to tremble. Men on the walls cried out in fear but were soon drowned out by a loud crash. Armnosers had knocked through the eastern wall while the seraphim and phoenixes fought at the southern gates. The mortal forces of the army quickly rushed to fight the large elephant like creatures breaking through the walls of the city. Luckily for them these creatures and the men controlling them were not trained to fight in narrow streets, like those of the imperial capital. As the Armnosers began to become frightened though they went on a terrified and terrifying rampage, stampeding through the streets and even some buildings.

Soon the storm over the northern battle was swirling toward the city with its army, for the aerial squadrons of the Sun were called back to assist against the breach in the east. The Unconquered sun himself went forth to strike out against the army attacking in the north, specifically the dragons. With his sunlight spears he went forth and fought the legion of dragons, killing many. As he fought the battle above the seraphim and phoenixes assisted in the east, but when the swirling clouds began to move over the city a plague of snakes began to slither out all over that section of the city. The firebirds went down and plucked the viper who were biting at the soldiers and populace of the imperial capital. From the sea came an army of gillmen, and with them the clouds began to crack with lightning which struck down into the city. The army at the northern gates battered their way through the gates when a dragon managed to evade the Sun's onslaught long enough to crash the gate open. There were more layers of defense at that gate though and many of the enemy soldiers soon found themselves impaled by a volley of ballistae and crossbow bolts.

Champions of the sun fought across the city their demigod like powers helping keep the army of the Unconquered Sun alive and holding off the seemingly endless waves of enemies. Soon though groups of warriors bearing the mark of Euskal appeared and sought these champions out specifically in battle. Demigods of the sun slaughtered men, draconic, gillmen, and monster alike but had mixed results against these heroes. Some came out victorious and others died valiantly, whose bodies were quickly looted by the heroes.

In the chaotic fighting in the city the gods fought with their forces, leading them against the powerful Unconquered Empire. The Sun touched down at a spot where he saw some of his warriors killing one another. He demanded the meaning of this but they could not here him, as they fought. He looked and saw a weasely man with a sword twiddle his fingers as the men fought and approached him. At this approach the man seemingly disappeared only to appear behind the Sun to strike him across the back. The Unconquered Sun engaged in battle with the trickster Anteor and fought with the cunning god. Though the Sun was no fool Anteor was able to dodge many attacks and use his environment to great advantage, and as they fought throughout the streets of the city people marveled at the sight. Finally though the Sun managed to call a ray of light into a spear toward him, but Anteor being in-between was impaled, and left limp on the street.

Euskal had known Anteor a long time and was nearby to see this. He charged through a dozen seraphim as if they were not but flies and tackled the Sun to the ground. They grappled fiercely un the ground. The Unconquered sun flung the elemental of Heroism off him and prepared his spears. Euskal charged with his mighty sword. They fought against each other in the central plaza of the city, in front of the temple to the Sun. This is where the Unconquered Sun was at his strongest though, at noon on a clear day within the temple grounds. Euskal began to suffer the same fate as his trickster friend and was soon pinned to the ground by sun spears. The Sun finished the job by driving a final spear through the elemental deity's throat. Euskal's body, temporarily destroyed, withered away into dust which blew into the wind and wherever it went mortal men became fearless

The fighting became greater than ever before as the invaders reached deeper into the city. The armies of Euskal, Danabel, and Absalia still moved in from the east and the docks, while the armies of Anteor, Io, and Votyx remained halted at the northern defenses. Harnessing the rays of the sun the Unconquered Sun bet down upon the Gillmen at the docks, they were unused to dryness and became weakened as the heat baked them alive. They cried out dehydrated shouts of anguish as their fined feat blistered whilst stepping on the paved streets of the city. When they began to fall from heat exhaustion the storm clouds that had covered the northern army lurched forth over the docks and blocked out the Sun's rays, and began to rain heavily. In the eye of the storm though he saw Absalia mother of snakes and storms. With all his might the Unconquered Sun dove down into the eye where she hid and slammed her out dissipating the storm. Absalia fell to the ground her fate unknown.

Before he could swoop down and kill her though, or at least the nearest thing to death that a deity could experience, one of his seraphim informed him that the northern walls had fallen. With a squadron of his angels he went out to meet the larger force. Along the way he was halted by Votyx the god of fate. The Unconquered sun drew his weapons and let loose a hail of spears at the god of fate. Moving through the hail Votyx managed to strike the Unconquered Sun , though it was only a minor knick. Pain that he had never known surged through him as he felt blood fall from his cheek. Never before had the Unconquered Sun been touched and worse this was not like when other deities were struck the wound did not heal or turn to dust, but remained like with mortals!

Back and forth they battled. Votyx was skilled but he could not see the out come of this battle for the future was ever-changing. His strategy was simple continue to make as many of cuts on his foe as possible until he simply bleed to death. The Unconquered Sun though was still incredibly skilled so much so he defeated the mighty Melsoiac in single combat. They fought on and on and on as the battle between their armies went in much the same manner. Tired by this the Unconquered Sun summoned a flock of phoenixes to swarm the god of fate. As Votyx swatted at the firebirds singeing him the Unconquered Sun flanked him and struck the god in his side. Votyx clenched in pain and pulled the spear deeper into him to bring the Sun closer and slashed the Unconquered Sun across his chest. They both fell to the ground.

In a ruined house the two gods laid battered and tired beyond recognition. Votyx heard Io call for him bought was unable to cry back, and to his dismay the Unconquered sun got up from the rubble and approached him. Haggardly he walked while caked in his own divine blood, which became flicks of flame as it touched the ground. He pined his knee into Votyx's chest and wrestled Astra from the god of fate's hand. With it the Unconquered Sun could ensure that no new or old gods could ever comeback to oppose him, yet at the time what he wanted was to make an example of the god of fate who wounded him so. He brought the blade down and cut off the right hand, then he hacked where the elbow joint was, and next the spot below where the shoulder and upper arm connected.

Each time Votyx let out a cry of immense pain but after the third cut another more intimidating cry reverberated, in fact it was a roar. Io the Ninefold dragon who had allied with Votyx out of convenience came to the god of fate's aid. He crashed through the building and grabbed the Unconquered Sun in his fiery jaws and shook him like a dead squirrel, cause the Sun to loose hold of Astra, then Io flung the deity away.

As the Unconquered Sun stood up in a lethargic manner he grabbed a ray of light and flung it into the dragon's hide. Unable to look after his ally whilst the enemy remained Io turned and breathed at the bothersome foe. His fire did nothing to the Unconquered Sun though, just as the dragons' and phoenixes' fires could not harm each other. The father of all dragons instead turned toward fang and claw swiping at the Unconquered Sun. The Sun bobbed and weaved as best he could from the mighty beast. They fought viciously and when their battle carried over to that of the mortals and beings great havoc ensued. For in their bloodlust they struck at all who dared interfere with their divine duel. Soon the city had nearly fallen completely to the armies of the Pantheon but if the Sun could defeat their gods the mortal armies would have no choice but to capitulate and bow down in subservience.

With what little might he had left the weakened Unconquered Sun struck the Ninefold Dragon and it fell into onto the entrance of the Sun's great temple. The ancient of rock and soil Danabel tried to come to the dragon's rescue but the Sun was tired of this fight and simply grabbed the sun like a mace and used it to beat Danabel into the ground as he did Aham. The ancient just laid at the edge of the central plaza twitching like an insect who had been recently steeped on. Touching back down to the ground, nearly tripping over from all the exertion, the Unconquered Sun grabbed a ray of light and flung it into the exposed belly of Io. Then he did it again a second time, then a third, then a forth, then a fifth, then a sixth, and even a seventh. He wanted to make sure that the great dragon was dealt with, all loose ends tied.

From behind him though amongst the ruins around the central plaza, and the sea of dead bodies so thick one could not touch the ground where they to walk across even if they tried. Votyx stood bleeding still from his severed arm holding Astra in his other hand. The Unconquered Sun walked down the crumbled steps of his temple and grabbed one last spear. The two deities simply stood in front of each other breathing raggedly from the wounds Astra inflicted upon them. The two titans reluctantly continued the fight only doing so because neither one could exist in the world the other wished to create. Both of them attacked poorly tired and in intense pain but they kept going, finally though Votyx managed to get a fatal blow on the now conquered sun.

As Votyx watched as the great god died in front of him, he looked down at Astra and flung it from his hands. For all his knowledge he had never before understood what it meant to die, what it meant to simply... stop. Now he did but whatever he felt in that moment meant little for all that could oppose his pantheon were defeated. His allies would recover and rematerialize in their true forms, and now they had eternity to rebuild the world, no the universe. At least until new gods came along.

Galrenic Pantheon Wins!

I just want to give a shout out to the players that remained active during this game.

Galren from the get go had a very cool concept and did a few ICs to expand upon how his deity worked. Despite losing all of his followers at one point he still bounced back.

Borvahkiin was another great player. While he didn't IC his orders were wuick, clear, simple, and consistant. In doing this he managed to steadily grow in power without being harassed by other players.

Viola truly was the Unconquered Sun for most of the game he managed to form an impressive Empire for his people with angelic beings and demigods leading the way.

Mikkel Glahder was another player who used some ICs to expand on their deity which was much appreciated. He sent his orders every turn and created an almost Shangri-La like kingdom for his followers with an large amount of interesting creatures protecting it.

Alexander23 though not in the stats anymore was active early on in the game and was the first player to start the tradition of attacking galren, much to his dismay.

BlackBishop dropped out due to life taking precedence over this game. Before he left he ended up doing a lot of assaults on other players even surviving an attack by the mighty viola at one point.

Deaghaidh's deity had perhaps the most character development, and it was all through orders. Dana started out as a goddess of water and life, and had to deal with the hardships of the Dark One corrupting one of her daughters. She eventually saved that daughter but began to use the corrupted water to her own ends. When the thangians took all her worshippers she let loose a truly Biblical plague upon all the world. #ebola rain.

I was sad when Dharmahelper stopped sending orders because his first ones were so interesting. He really played to his deity making all his orders centered around tricking someone. Chief example was how his magical forge where all other deities were invited to visit without consequence wasn't a trick. Being a trickster I guess no one thought they could trust him on that and never did.

Fish had one of the most interesting deities. Aham was essentially a walking giant whose back was paradise itself, nough said.

Clophiroth was one of many that dropped out early but before that he left his mark on the world by making gillmen of all things. He established that Absalia was a goddess of only these creatures but still one that men should worship.

Dr.Livingstone had a great deity idea being a goddess of fire, and him going inactive made me sad cause I really think he like all other payers that just stopped sending order could have made something great.

Tufto is another example of lost potential cause I mean he was essentially the Tengri god. I mean he had mongols... MONGOLS!

Tapscott oh how I loved your character. K'thang was truly a mad god and I have to say the most effective at converting. Not because he got more worshippers than anyone else but because he managed to take all of Deaghaidh's worshippers, and Galren's. All thanks to his simple yet effective shapeless men good job Tapp.

Rovsea only sent a few orders but I still appreciate that he signed up and sent what he did, same for all other players.

Happycats517 was yet another player that did little and its a shame cause Ishmael seemed like a really good deity to follow. I mean he created his own continent for his followers to live on peacefully, maybe Ishmael is still there just lounging about safe from the horrors of the apocalypse.

I hope the same for Maxwell500's character which was essentially death, and a dapper one at that. Most likely that deity got bored and went to work on the set of Supernatural.

Naxhi24 had a good IC also though not much was done with her either. Still I liked that even though it was all in a sort of time before time setting he opted for his huntress goddess to have a more modern feel with that sniper rifle of hers.

Firelordsky had perhaps my favorite deity. Picking one that was the elemental of heroism was out of the box enough but making all his order and ICs like it was an MMORPG game patch? Fantastic! I applaud you sir.

Yet again thanks for playing and I hope to see you all again in Landfallen 2 and especially another Deicide.
