Hello there!

I play a lot of Paradox Games and I have pretty much all DLCs for all the Grand Strategy games. Having talked about EU4 and CK2 with my dad, he wanted to try them out and one year ago, I used the "Family Sharing" Steam option to share CK2 and EU4 so that he could play them with all the DLCs. He just told me that he cannot access the game anymore. Apparently, since it became free (without DLCs), the option to "Family Share" is no longer supported, which means he either has to buy all the DLCs, or to start playing vanilla after one year of playing the full game regularly (we all know this is not an option).

Is this WAD?

Edit: EU4 still allows Family Sharing, you don't see the last line here.

Same problem here. Really frustrating.

A workaround could be to log-in yourself on the affected computer, install and start the game.
Then the dlc's are acknowledged in the Documents folder and can be used with the FTP variant.

So say several people on da web..., but sounds logical to me.

That is correct, Family Sharing does not and never has worked with free items. We had this with free DLCs on CSL a few years ago for instance.
