Hi. Got a game in EGS. Downloaded, launched, there were no problems. But after I have chosen which parameters I want to play with and get to the loading screen, nothing happens. If you move the mouse across the screen, you can hear the sounds of the interface, as if I'm driving on the buttons, but the same loading screen is still hanging. In the folder %username%\AppData\LocalLow\Ice lake Studios\Surviving the Aftermath, no log file was created, only the files "Player", "Player-prew", as well as the folders "unity" and "paradox". pc characteristics:
Ryzen 5 2600.1050 ti,16ram

Exact same situation for me as for the OP.

Already tried setting the .exe to always run in Administrator mode to see if it was a permissions problem. Running up-to-date Windows 10 with the latest Nvidia driver.

This is weird as this game has not changed for several months. FYI my Epic copy runs fine.

What happens if you run Aftermath64.exe directly from File Explorer?

But if you see anything from the game, like a loading screen, the player.log ought to be there?

Here is the player.log file. As the OP stated we can setup a game, but when it's generating the world map it just doesn't do anything other than cycle loading screen hints.

It seems to stall on this 'SetGameState(CityView, force: True)' in player.log.

I'll raise this with Paradox tonight, but in the meantime please raise this with Epic support. Let us know how that gets on, thanks.

Thank you, I'll ask them but they don't answer many error reports historically.
Make sure they understand this is only happening with the Epic edition of this game, none other.

Same issue here. I enter all difficulty settings and then it just stays on the loading screen forever (cursor shows clock symbol). The progressbar doesn't change at all. Interestingly when I move the cursor and click on the background (left mouse)button) I hear menu selection sounds.

Edit:
Tried on a second PC and works on this one. I have a suspicion: when the games asked me to change the Firewall settings I might have clicked that away on my main PC. Not so on this one. That might fix the problem. Will try later and post an update in case it solves the issue.
