managed to reproduce the issue and found the most likely solution as well. When you launch the game, a browser window will open prompting you to use Surviving the Aftermath with your Epic Games Account. Pressing 'Allow' should fix the loading screen issue you're having. Check the attached screenshot to see how the browser window looks.

I linked my account before running the game. So no popup. Perhaps the bug is that it tries to link it again except it is already done and just loop... I will try to unlink it
This is a update on the suspended loading. To get the game to load, you need to allow Epic Online Services (EOS) access to the internet. You'll get a prompt that say, "Epic Online Services want's access to the internet". Click "YES", then the game will load. The screenshot below shows what happens when you click "YES" to the Windows Defender Prompt to allow Surviving the Aftermath internet access. The prompt is a Windows Defender Firewall security prompt between the game, and the Epic Store.

So yes apparently it is linked to an "invisible" update (update 5 I think it was displayed in my game ?).
This mean the update you are talking about is downloaded in the background... But if you start a game... it waits for the update... And you need to reste it until the problem solved by itself...
This is the kind of message you MUST have to be able to run the game.
After the first time it is displayed when you click on the "i" at the botton right corner.
So poorly designed game... updating in background and no explanaition to the player...

I started the game anew. The EGS binding window appeared. After the launch, information about the 5th update appeared and the game is working correctly. Thanks!

Sorry, but I can't do anything, even reinstalling the game and allowing in the firewall didn't help.
I don't understand how or why you are seeing anything about a new update to this game- I've not got that nor heard anything about it.

I saw that. It's important that players see the prompt to connect the game to their Epic account. If they ignore or select NO in the prompt the game will NOT load.
And if we didn't do this because we already have a Paradox account how would we get this window to come back up so we can test this?
So how are we supposed to get the prompt again? It doesn't come back even after uninstall and reinstall.
My fix: in the Paradox launcher to set disable all dlc for this game.
