Summary​

Frequent CTD throughout a run, noticeably worse in late game.

Description​

Bought the game recently and decided to play Sweden, crashes happened every now and then but got very bad around 1895, about once every 20-30 minutes. Attempted solutions, most taken from older threads:

• Use AVX curve in Intel Extreme Tuning Utility
• Disable E-Cores
• FPS cap
• Lowering game speed (from 5 to 4, helps but will still crash)
• Updating drivers
• Increasing page file size (64 GB)
• Using Vulkan
• Reinstalling, verifying game files

I have not:

• Tried a different version of Windows
• Tried a different version of the game
• Tried a different save (i.e. start a new game, I have tried multiple saves for the same game)
• anything else not previously listed

I see you have one of the Intel CPU models affected by their notorious hardware fault, but your bios seems to be from 2023 BIOS: A.D0 . Please check with MSI for an updated bios. If it then has an Intel Default setting, choose that, otherwise just leave it as is.

Your Windows version is not the problem one, so no need to experiment with Vulkan etc.

I've updated my BIOS but it doesn't seem to have done much.

I've reset everything to defaults without issues so far, so I'll see how it goes.

Edit: my game hasn't crashed yet so I think I'm good. Thank you!
