frequent CTD's

i had to change my graphic card settings to play medieval total war.
g force 2 64mb card
open gl pci memory set at 2mb
direct 3d pci memory set at 5mb
are these the correct settings for this game?

your settings should be ok, but try to remove your drivers and reinstall the new ones:

this will clean your system of it, just apply the drivers once it's done.
http://www.nvidia.com

it should reduce, if not eliminate the crashes

next time, don't play any other game than EU

im a bit wary of doing this.
whats drivers does it destroy and is is a major hassle reinstalling them

it will remove your video card driver, everything.

provided you follow the instructions, there should be no problem.

download the appropriate driver for your operating system and video card first though
