Might be a long wait

**OOC: My apologies to those who have follwed the journal. Real life has absorbed my time, selling a house, buying a new one and managing my companies audit (yep I am an accountant). The Journal isnt dead, the game is still active but its slipped on my priority list. I hate doing things half assed and yeah this is becoming half assed but I have my priorities straight, look for another post probably friday.**

Final Chapter

For those who read this thanks man, I will keep it simple.

I had a great time war finally broke out and Italy really handed it to me in North Africa. I held for awhile but he made a nice amphib into suez I knew I was done. Russia ended up fighting to a stalemate with Japan, then he DOWED Germany, complete surprise attack poland and eastern germany and berlin taken.

Nasty bug where when your capital gets taken you get no IC's. German player had Europe sown up to, but russia just swept west. It was a planned operation called "Weinerschnitzel" IT was one big gamble for Russia but we knew that the auto DOW from France would come and when it did he waited and DOWED through poland, didnt expect to have such a clear path but hey thats how MP is.

So once that happened it was pretty much game over, some one quit and it that was that, pathetic really. Sadly though there are a lot of quitters in the HOI community and very few kleenex salesmen, cause you know when it goes sour your going to hear about it on ICQ.

Back on track

In short I knew I could never handle the Axis, they were grouped in africa and it was only a matter of time, I had hoped to hold the middle east and I did but the Italian player was seasonsed and he did a nice job cutting my retreat.

All in all it was a great expirence, it does mark my departure from that particular group of players. Maybe you will wonder why or you will hear rumors about it????? intrique..... Its a bit personal and over all the guys in that group are excellent people. For me I used to teach 5-13 year olds Meibukan GoJu Ryu for 4 years before an injury set in, my patience is shot so I decided to leave the group of players. When you play with a group for a long time you get the chance to make good solid char judgements, particularly when you have emails confirming your inclinations, you try and play through but after awhile you just say fuck it, it isnt worth it.

I will be looking for another group soon unless something drastic changes which I doubt, so keep me in mind if your a reader here drop me a line. If you take yourself or the game to seriously then we wont gel, I dont care for quitters and whiners, even if you do so behind the cover of email or ICQ. So if your out there to play the game and thats it, no personal BS, mail me.

Quick Calrification

I already received 2 emails from readers wanting to know the skinny of what happened. Both of you got replies, for future reference I’m not going to slam people or give a by name account of what went down. Anyone who has played MP for a long time I am sure can make a nice guess as to what I infer in my post.

Not giving names of players unless said players choose to make it pissing match. So for those who intend on emailing me ask me about game stuff and strat I will tell you but I wont send copies of past emails and ICQ'S regarding the "quitting, whining, threatening, and confirming" of my experience with a few players.

On a clear Fall day the Wehrmacht finally was released from its tether. . .

How goes the war General?

Herr Fuerher we are crushing the Belgian army as expected, but a most unusual thing, the French army is running en masse towards their capital.

Run them down and crush them general.

Ja Vohl mein feurher!

Sir the Bolsheviks have Declared War on us and are attacking in massive numbers West against our defenses in Poland!

What?!?

All our intel pointed to a regime in serious trouble with the purges and their defeat in the East at the hands of the Japanese. Oh well, let's crush France then turn our army around, how many divisions to we have available for defense?

We have 30 Polish divisions and 16 German divisions in Poland, an additional 9 divisions that can be moved to the German-Polish border within days.

Ok do it, and prepare to sweep East with our army as soon as France is crushed.

After surrounding Paris 40 French divisions are crushed, no deals were made with the French despite their pleas. It was actually our plan to use the Vichy option as the UK player moved a large number of divisions out of France, but due to some overzelous commanders the province of Vichy was accidentally taken, making this option impossible.

Sir our new Panzer shock army is ready to be deployed!

Very good, deploy them south of Berlin and move the rest of the army into blocking positions.

The Bolsheviks swept west, moving through the hapless Polish and in the face of the German divisions were suprisingly effective, the Russians had very good technology, oops we are in for a fight! Ten German divisions were destroyed in Poland and an armored spearhead drove straight for Berlin, it was cutoff and destroyed but then the large bulk of the russian army decended on Berlin and could not be stopped. We continue the discussion there. . .

Sir they have taken Berlin! What?!? No matter we will move our government to Munich and keep up the fight. But mein fuehrer we have no production! What? We own France, Belgium, Austria, Yugoslavia, and most of Germany? Well sir in the alternate universe created by Paradox a loss of your capital, no matter how much of your country is left, stops all production, I am afraid our supplies will give out in a few days.

At that point I mentioned what was going on, I did not know about the bug, others did. Oh well I lose. For the record chances are it wouldn't have mattered but it spoiled the end of the war. As the final blow was about to decend on about 30 German divisions the host crashed, no one quit.

Hitler shot himself in his bunker and the German government undonditionally surrendered and started learning Russian. All German breweries were burned down and Vodka became the new national drink, fine by us, we have plenty of potatoes.

I look forward to the wars yet fought. . .
 
**Field Marshall Zhukov enters the meeting of the war committee, salutes and addresses Joseph Stalin**

Comrade Stalin, our plans are in place. Our armies in Asia have successfully fought the Japanese to a stalemate and our fortifications are complete. Our execution of operation "Chopsticks" was masterful, the Japanese have their eyes focused in the wrong direction. We are now beginning the redeployment of several divisions west to prepare for operation "Weinerschnitzel".

Comrade Zhukov, you have executed my plans perfectly. Send my contratulations to Comrade Molotov and his masterful diplomacy with the capitalists. The Germans have made a major mistake in installing a puppet government in Poland. First, they have betrayed the trust of the Soviet people, and second, they have placed too much trust in the Polish. They have underestimated our strength and they will pay.

Zhukov, prepare your offensive to launch with 60 divisions from Minsk. I want you to personally lead the armored spearhead that will penetrate deep into Polish territory. I will alert other army commanders to press the entire front. Comrade Zhukov, intelligence reports that war between the axis and the allies is fast approaching. Once Germany commits against France, we shall begin our operation.

**Zhukov salutes and turns to walk out**
Oh, and one more thing Comrade Zhukov. Do not stop at Germany, your end goal is Paris...
