Hello,

is it possible to have a full inter-store compatibility in the near future? Especially with the gog version.
It should be easily accessible and especially usable in general for everyone just by default.

And what are the reasons, that this is not possible in general? I assume, that there are issues with the DRM-freedom of gog, or with the non-DRM-freedom of Steam?
By the way, thank you, that Stellaris is not available on Epic.

Best regards

beiju

Compatibility in what sense, sorry? They can play MP together already.

In the sense, that Steam players do not need to concern about playing with gog players and press a different button to start the game.
Why is not possible to launch cross-store multiplayer with every game start? :)

I cannot say why that design decision was made, I am sorry. I'm not in the development loop for this game.

Perhaps that is something that can be revisited in a future major patch.

do you have the connection to ask and the willingness to request it?
It would be really nice, if such a futuristic game like Stellaris will have full DRM-free support.
The only issue there, will be the community made content, like in the workshop. But this is a problem, gog, epic and steam have to work out together.

I do not, but you can request it in the Suggestions forum fo this game.
