After playing Surviving Mars for over 220 hours I have finally come across a game breaking bug.

It involves the fact that landed Rockets will not launch.

I have uninstalled the game, reinstalled, gone back to a previous save, launched a passenger rocket instead of a freight rocket and still the bloody thing will not budge, it just sits there with the message, "Ready to Launch".

This is not a bug which is annoying, this is a bug which is a GAME BREAKER!

The only thing which changed from the first two hundred hours that I played the game is that I bought and installed the Deluxe Pack.

I was really enjoying the game and this is really saddening.

Even trying to launch a rocket which has not been unloaded does not result in the error message asking if I am sure I want to launch the rocket.

It's as if the launch button has somehow been deactivated.

There has been a new patch released - could this have broken the button?

The new patch seems to have broken rockets for some players. Did you start a new game after the patch, or are you continuing a game from before?

Also, try quickly toggling off and on the rare metals exporting button once or twice. That seems to fix the problem for some players.

Yes, this has hit me. I've tried everything I can think of including loading an autosave to before my rocket lands on Mars but no joy.

I hit the launch button and.... nothing. Although the drones do stop loading it with precious metals so to them, I guess, it's gone.

Until now I've been loving the game by the way :)

Click the auto-export button (you can click it back after it launches). some people said that worked for them

I started a new game and don't have this problem...seems to be with old saves only

That didn't work for me. After I tried to launch, the drones stopped delivering to the rocket even when I set the rocket to auto. What I didn't do was set it to auto export BEFORE clicking the launch button. That might have resulted in a launch but to do so now would involve going back to the auto save again which I'm a little sick of doing. I may give it a go another time.

It is an old pre-patch game but I have landed and launched a rocket (passenger) after the patch landed.

I fast forwarded the game to the point where I got the rocket filled with metals and then hit the recycle button and the rocket launched.

This is a new game since the patch came out.
