can someone plz tell me what is wrong. I have started playing EU2 again after a long break. I have been playing a game now with the Ottoman Empire for quite a long time now, but suddenly my game does not work anymore! When I try to load a game it breaks down. Same thing happens when I try to play a new game! I seem to remeber that this was the reason why I stopped playing the game some time ago, so it is quite annoying. I have installed the 1.08 patch. Strange ting is, as far as I can remeber, that the same thing has happened in the past. Playing the game for a couple of weeks, and then suddenly is does not work, for no apparent reason!!!

Well that is not too helpful, you need to give me a little more info before I can help. 
What does "does not work" mean? How does it not work? does it give you any kind of feed back such as an error message.
Here are somethings to get you started.
1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.
