Crusader Kings III has been consistently crashing my computer after short periods (maybe 20 minutes or so) every single time I've tried to play. This is a new PC, CKIII is the only game I've had problems with so far, and I'm not using any mods. (I didn't have any problems playing CKIII on my old PC, but that was pre-Royal Court.) It happens early enough into a save that I shouldn't be triggering anything unusual: most of the time I haven't done anything beyond choosing a lifestyle, marrying off a few courtiers, and inviting knights to my court. I've tried every possible fix I could find suggested online, including multiple clean reinstalls (including deleting everything in the Documents/Paradox Interactive folder), verifying the integrity of the game files in Steam, launching from the installation folder, running both Steam and the game in administrator mode, double-checking that I have all the latest drivers, experimenting with lower graphics settings, and adding antivirus exceptions. When I open the crash logs, debug.log ends with a long list of errors which all read:
There is also a repeated error in error.log which reads:[pdx_gui_animation_datatype_valuehelpers.h:158]: Trying to trigger an animation with glow_alpha for a widget which has no glow
I've looked through other threads and I'm clearly not the only person having this issue, but I haven't seen any solutions offered or even acknowledgement of the bug. Attaching a DxDiag file, pdx_settings, and logs from the latest crash (which happened just after yet another clean reinstall, verifying the integrity of the game files, and starting a new save: I was hoping that the latest update might have helped fix the problem, but my crash logs from before today look the same). Happy to provide any other information if necessary.[pdx_gui_animation_runtime_state.cpp:699]: Animation triggered has no valid state properties or sound effects
