Summary

Game crash at autosave by steam cloud

Description

Game crashes at an autosave point everytime. I find out that i had no space in my steam cloud for the saves of vic3. Every month the game autosave and there was no space anymore. I deactivate Cloud saves in steam for vic3 and all went good.
That behavoir of the game to shutdown the whole application with crash report isn't the right handling. A little check of save sparen at gamestart with a luttle messagebox would be fine.

Thanks for your time

Steps to reproduce

Tell valve to open the cloud space border to inifinity!

As I read the report your complaint is that the game crashed when trying to save to a full Steam cloud space, rather than putting up a message saying that, and perhaps suggesting a local save instead. Is that right?

If so, there's nothing we in Tech Support can do about that. Whether this counts as a bug report or an enhancement suggestion I'm not sure.

@PDX_Sosanna can you comment on that?

@AndrewT Improvements to warnings for low cloud storage space is on the list of our engine requests, but we don't have any data about any CTDs occurring while saving (previous occurrences of similar issues were often caused by antivirus apps).
We can only investigate it if we get the usual logs and minidumps from "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria 3/crashes" and a DxDiag log file.
